The interior of this holiday home exudes cosiness. It consists of a living space that is divided into a fully equipped kitchen (with gas hob, combi oven, dishwasher, double sink and refrigerator), a dining area and a spacious sitting area around the wood stove. Above the kitchen area is a "split level" with a separate sitting area where the television (TV) is located. The living area opens onto the hall from the back door where, among other things, the washing machine is located. This hall also gives access to the two bedrooms, the bathroom and one of the terraces. One bedroom is equipped with two single beds (90 x 200) and the second bedroom is equipped with a double bed (160 x 200). Both bedrooms have a wardrobe. In the bathroom you will find a spacious shower, toilet and two sinks.

We are Anouk and René Kesseleer. In 2010 we moved to the French Pyrenees where we were the owners of a small-scale mountain hotel until the spring of 2022. At the beginning of 2022 we sold the mountain hotel and moved to the Lot.
We bought this beautiful holiday home "Sous le vieux Chêne" in the municipality of Thédirac in 2014, and have turned it into a cozy and complete house where you can relax in peace. Also ideal for walkers and cyclists.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

GENERAL
The mentioned rental price includes bed linen and kitchen linen, but excludes the mandatory cleaning fee of € 70 and the tourist tax of 0.80 cents per person per night.

There are many walking and cycling routes available on both paper and GPX file.

The house can be rented as a holiday home from mid-April to the end of October.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation more than 60 days before arrival: Full refund of the deposit rental amount, minus 50 Euro administration costs.
Cancellation between 60 and 0 days before the date of arrival: No right to a refund of the deposit of the rental amount. Full refund of any deposit already paid, tourist tax and cleaning costs.
Early departure: No right to a refund of the rental amount. No right to a refund of the tourist tax and cleaning costs. Of course, there is a refund of the deposit, provided that the rented property is left in good condition.

Endless (racing) cycling on quiet roads with good asphalt, breathtaking views and, for the enthusiast, the necessary height meters. This area is also a paradise for mountain biking. Ask for our tips and GPX tracks.

Canoe Raid Cenac is the place for a fantastic canoe or kayak experience on the Dordogne. A trip of 2 hours, 3 hours or even 5 hours takes you past castles, rock walls, idyllic villages, islands and beaches. You can enjoy all this beauty at your own pace and downstream. The water of the Dordogne is clear and ideal for swimming.

The beautiful castles along the Dordogne river, as well as the towns of Domme, La Roc Gageac and Salat are definitely worth a visit. If you prefer the river Lot, Cahors and St Cirq Lapopie are highly recommended. Closer to home there are numerous small villages with Romanesque churches and a picturesque center. Don't forget to visit the Zadkine museum in Les Arques.

This area is ideal for beautiful walks. Starting from the front door, or just by car, long or short, marked trails or just strolling. There is something for everyone. There are plenty of tips in the house.
