Kitchen with large extendable table and wood stove, so nice and warm in the fall and winter!
Terrace with swimming pool (ø 4.5m) in high season.
Living room with original old sink and fireplace. Here is also a wood stove (this used to be the kitchen).
1st bathroom on the ground floor with sink and shower. Next to it a separate toilet.
The kitchen made of old wood from the old barn, has access to the terrace. The kitchen is equipped with a stove with oven, refrigerator and dishwasher.

The Lac du Der in January. From October to February a large part of this artificial lake is dry. From spring it is filled with water de Marne to keep the water level in Paris and surroundings safe.

One of the militarie cemeteries at Verdun, where during the First World War a years-long battle took place. From a horrible beauty and raked cleanliness. Taken from the Ossuaire, a monument where countless remains of unknown soldiers have their final resting place.
One of the many medieval half-timbered churches that the region is rich in. This is the church of Puellemontier, about 2 kilometers away from your house.
The ruin of the Abbey of Trois Fontaines. Founded around 1130 by the Cistercian monk / abbot Bernard. He would now be compared to Mandela. They have mined large parts of North-East France. The abbey was destroyed during the French revolution.

The large living room with fireplace has a nice sitting area with lounge sofa and a dining area with space for 8 people.
This is how it used to look: l'Ancienne Gare on a postcard from 1903.
You enter the entrance hall, which is actually still completely in its original state, with the beautiful old advertising posters, enamelled signs and the counters.
In the entrance hall, space has now also been made for a work table and a television corner with a flat screen and DVD player. There are also lots of DVDs and a nice library.
The two bedrooms are to the left of the station, the first adjacent to the living room, the second adjacent to the entrance hall. They are furnished with a double bed, a linen closet and washing facilities. The sofa by the television can be converted into a double sofa bed.

The spacious kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences.
And completely renovated as well as the shower.

A terrace spanning the entire width of the 23-meter-wide building. That terrace is of course the old platform and overlooks the guardhouse on the other side of the (no longer existing) track.

This 14th century castle is located in Montigny sur Aube. Harry Truman (later president of America) stayed there during the First World War. It is possible to walk and dine in the beautifully landscaped garden upon reservation.
Noyers sur Serein is a picturesque village where tourists like to stop to stroll past galleries, half-timbered houses and the arches gallery.

Chateau Maulnes is a Pentagon, a masterpiece built in 1566 on a spring. The reconstruction is more than worth a visit.
The historic heart of the city of Troyes makes you feel like you're in the Middle Ages. Through narrow alleys you will discover the Cathedral of St. Pierre St. Paul and the Basilica of St. Urbain. Here you will find a varied range of shops and boutiques.
La source de Douix in Chatillon sur Seine
L'Eglise St. Vorles in Chatillon sur Seine. A beautiful church on a hill built in the time of the Templars founded by St. Bernard.
Semur en Auxois is beautifully built on a hill and offers a beautiful view over the valley and the fast-flowing river Armancon. Nice medieval streets with restaurants. Galleries and shops. Beautiful Notre Dame. Museum with a wealth of collections, a journey back in time.
Chablis is one of the most popular wines. The route from Bissey to Chablis is beautiful and every Sunday morning there is a market where you can buy local products and taste Chablis.
The village of Essoyes in the Aube is inextricably linked to the work of Pierre-Auguste Renoir, who spent all his summers here from 1881 onwards. In the charming village a walk has been set out from the museum, his house, studio and the cemetery where he is buried with his family.
