A wonderful holiday home in the heart of France. A comfortable house that is fully equipped. It can accommodate up to 6 people. L'Arche is located in a quiet area near the river valley of the Dordogne. In the vicinity of Sioniac you will find all amenities.

In the attractive living room you can watch all Dutch and foreign channels via satellite and landline. There is also a CD and DVD player. For the music lover: there is also an electric piano. When you sit at the table you look out over the terrace to a beautiful landscape and in the evening you can enjoy the setting sun. In the coffee table, a number of board games are stored for cozy hours together.

The kitchen has all amenities such as oven, large refrigerator, induction hob, microwave (on the terrace). There is an extensive china cabinet to enjoy your cooking. You will also find a fondue set and table chef.

There are two bathrooms, 1 with bath and hand shower and sink. There is also a hairdryer. Also here are the washing machine and a freezer. The second bathroom is a walk-in shower with a sink.
Two of the three bedrooms have a spacious double bed and the third bedroom has a pull-out bed that can also accommodate two people. There is sufficient storage space available.
There is underfloor heating in each room and a large wood-burning stove that heats the whole house in the living room.
And all that on the ground floor!

It is provided around the house so that you can stay anywhere. With no fewer than three terraces you will always find a place in the sun or in the shade. There is a four-person lounge set on the terrace at the rear and a table with chairs on the terrace on the other side to enjoy a pleasant meal while enjoying the view. On the side also a terrace with table and chairs. There is a small and a large parasol.
To make you comfortable, there are comfortable patio chairs and a lounger.

The garden is approximately 2000 square meters. Since you can bring a maximum of 1 pet, this is a nice place for your pet to run around nicely. On the other side of the road is a forest of one and a half hectares that also belongs to the house.

It is a beautiful area with a lot of variety. If you visit our (*CONTENT HIDDEN*) you will find a detailed description of the surrounding towns and villages. The nearest town is the medieval town of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne. There are many amenities, hotels and restaurants. Further down the Dordogne valley there are many more commercial activities with a Supermarche in Altillac and a Leclerc in Biars.

For golf lovers, there is a beautiful golf course less than 10 kilometers away. In Beaulieu you can also rent canoes for a trip on the Dordogne.
A little further away there are beautiful areas such as in the Auvergne, the Massif Central and some more charming areas in the adjacent Dordogne department with Sarlat as a tourist town visited by many Dutch.

L'Arche is located just behind the town hall in Sioniac. As a result, the house is located on the edge of the village and yet in the outskirts. It is located on the road Le Claux which only 2 neighbors use. You can look beautifully far away with multiple horizons. And experiencing the setting sun is always a party!

We newly built our house in 2008 and we were lucky that our son is an architect. That is why the house is tailored to our taste and needs. There is a lot of light and the loft in the living room creates a spacious feeling. There are two large ceiling fans to cool off during the hot days. But even in the colder days it is wonderful to turn on the wood stove and enjoy a lively fire. The wood and energy is included in the price.

The kitchen is fully equipped and many things are stocked. We make an agreement with our tenants that you can use everything, but that you supplement it when it is finished. So you don't have to go to the supermarket for everything right away!
L'Arche, which means ark, stands on top of the mountain (320 meters) and hence the choice of the name of the house.

We always enjoy ourselves very much when we are in Sioniac and ensure that the house is well maintained. Our caretaker Michel and his wife Fabienne receive you warmly and ensure that everything is present and clean and the beds are ready for use.
They will also receive the deposit of 200 euros which you will receive back afterwards if everything is in order.
In short, everything is ready for a carefree stay in l'Arche!

We, Lucia and Henk Couwenberg, are the happy owners of l'Arche. We have built the house with great pleasure but also with toil and communication in 2008. Our son, who is an architect, took care of the design. We are very proud of our "Ark" and are happy to let our tenants enjoy it. Our caretaker Michel and his wife Fabienne ensure that everything runs smoothly and ensure a well-deserved holiday!

Extra price information

Cleaning costs 60 euros. Extra cleaning costs 30 euros for a pet.

Payment / cancellation / deposit Payment
  1. Payment to be made in euros.
  2. Payment in two installments, within 2 weeks after reservation by telephone, written or electronic, first installment for 50% of the agreed amount. Second installment must be available to l'Arche four weeks before the start of the stay.
  3. If a reservation is made less than 6 weeks before the start date, payment must be made in one installment 2 weeks before the start of the stay.
  4. In the event of an extension, the holiday maker will have paid l'Arche before the extension starts.
  5. The extrajudicial costs reasonably incurred by l'Arche, after notice of default, will be borne by the holiday maker. If the total amount is not paid on time, an interest rate of 1% per month will be charged on the outstanding amount after written summons.
Cancellation
  1. In case of cancellation, the holiday maker pays a fee to l'Arche, which amounts to: - in case of cancellation within 2 months 25% of the arrival of the agreed price. - upon cancellation within 1 month 50% of the agreed price. - upon cancellation within 2 weeks 75% of the agreed price. - in case of cancellation on the starting date of the stay 100% of the agreed price.
  2. In case of cancellation 25 euros administration costs.
  3. If the place is reserved and paid for by a third party through the mediation of the holiday maker for the same period, only the administration costs will be charged.
Deposit
  1. Pay a cash deposit of € 200.00 to the caretaker in advance.
  2. After paying the deposit, the caretaker will hand over the keys to the house to the holiday maker.
  3. At the end of the stay, the caretaker checks the house together with the holiday maker. If everything is in order, the deposit will be paid back in cash.
