Holiday home in the Giant Mountains

On the northern side of the Czech Republic, on the border with Poland, there is of the largest national parks in all Europe: the Giant Mountains. This park comprises one single giant landscape of tall mountains, deep ravines, waterfalls and rivers. The Giant Mountains are a fantastic holiday destination for endless walks and cycle rides. You’ll pass picturesque mountain villages with their typical ‘Roubenky’ dwellings: decorated wooden homes that often go back all the way to the 16th century. In winter, the Giant Mountains transform into a popular area for winter sports. You’ll often find that from your holiday home, you can step directly onto one of the many ski runs, so you never have to travel far to reach the snow. Micazu is a firm believer in direct contact. Go ahead and book your holiday home in the Giant Mountains directly with the owner so you always know exactly where you stand.

A paradise for outdoor activities

The Giant Mountains are situated in Northern Bohemia and are the tallest mountain range in the Czech Republic. With resorts such as Stupna, Nemojov and Zacler, the region provides some heavenly opportunities for people who like to practise outdoor sports. From winter sports to mountain sports and from mountain biking to golf, the Giant Mountains appeal to everyone. The area also has several cultural attractions worth exploring. Pay a visit to the Castle of Hrádek u Nechani, which was built between 1839 and 1857 as a summer residence for the family of the Count of Harrach. The medieval fortresses of Bezdes and Frýdlant are well worth visiting too. Other sites to include in your itinerary are the Teplické skály rock formation and Adršpach, a ‘city’ built from sandstone rock.
