,Am Schaenzjen' is located in Born, in the Ardennes and in the Belgian Eifel, near the RAVeL and Vennbahn cycle routes and right on the edge of the forest - perfect for cyclists, nature lovers and hikers.

Because hygiene is more important than ever, we follow our hygiene and cleaning protocol even more closely than in the past.

We hope that you will spend an unforgettable time in our cottage ’Am Schänzjen'.

• Please understand that smoking and pets are not allowed in the apartment. These rules apply out of consideration for future guests.

• The night's rest of all guests and residents is important to us – therefore please no loud music and no noise after 10 PM.

• Together with our guests, we strive to collect recyclable material separately from non-recyclable rubbish – please support us in doing so.
Simply follow the instructions on the collection bins in the service room.
All recycling materials must be strictly clean + dry.

• For environmental reasons, we try to heat our hot water as far as possible with a solar system - with quite good results. That is why we are happy when our guests handle economically with the hot water.

• Bicycles may not be parked in the apartment. (A covered bicycle shed is available on request.)

The RAVeL cycle network in the Eifel-Ardennes region and in the High Fens was built on former railways and is ideal for cyclists and cyclists. A highlight on these RAVeL roads is the cycle route Vennbahn between Aachen and Troisvierges. It is one of the longest and most beautiful cycle paths on former railways.

The High Fens are one of the most untouched pieces of nature of the Ardennes and the Eifel. It is one of the last highlands in Europe. It is wonderful walking in this mysterious high-lying area, with many water courses. The signal of Botrange is the highest point of Belgium with 694 meters above TAW.

Spa-Francorchamps is a real tourist and sporting attraction where the GP of Belgium Formula 1, a Manche of the Endurance World Championship, the 24 Hours of Spa, as well as all sorts of other activities are organized on a 220-day piste.
