Holiday homes in Dinant
So close and still so far away: Dinant really gives you the feeling of being abroad. The city is located on the river Maas in
Belgium, in the heart of the beautiful
Ardennes. The area is very varied, with sloping hills and dense forests where you can
walk and cycle endlessly. The region is very popular with people who like mountain biking and other outdoor sports. So a holiday home in Dinant is the perfect place for an active weekend away or a lovely holiday. You can come here the whole year round as the Ardennes is also a great destination in winter. And when you book through Micazu, you book directly with the owner, which will be a lot cheaper.
Famous sights
Dinant has a lot to offer in terms of culture. One of the most famous sights is the Citadel of Dinant, which towers on a rock above the city. This impressive construction was originally built as a defensive fortress in 1051. The citadel can be reached by cable car, after which you will be rewarded with magnificent views of the city and surroundings. The 13th-century Church of Our Lady is also worth a visit. The Caves of Han are another highlight in the area. They are one of the most beautiful in Europe. Why not go on a daytrip to
Namur, or one of the other nice places in the Ardennes, like
Barvaux,
Dochamps or
Vresse-sur-Semois.
