Neatly furnished cottage. Everything needed was there incl. Senseo machine and hair dryer. Friendly welcome and explanations. Landlord is very helpful. In front of the door (at the back) are goats and chickens and behind them open meadows. At night it is wonderfully quiet. Neatly clean. Located on a long road, which is quite boring if you are going to walk the dog, for example. But the surroundings are beautiful. Take a small road at no. 6 B to get to the cottage.

Very quiet, in the hinterland of Ruurlo located farm house, with all desired comfort and surrounded by goats and a flock of chickens (no rooster).
We had a nice week there.

Great house, nice of course with the goats and chickens already mentioned by other people. Regularly provided with fresh eggs. For others it may not be an issue, but for us it was just a bit too far from Ruurlo, in the evening ...

Great house, nice of course with the goats and chickens already mentioned by other people. Regularly provided with fresh eggs. For others it may not be an issue, but for us it was just a bit too far from Ruurlo, in the evening ± 3 KM on the bike back through a very dark environment. In June-July-Aug probably less problematic because it is light longer.

Nice cottage for 2 people. Beautiful area for cycling. It's nice that there are goats and chickens next to the house.

Wonderfully secluded location with lots of privacy. The goats and chickens at the cottage are a continuous source of entertainment. Sjaak is very hospitable and likes to share the delicious and farm-fresh eggs with the tenants ...

Wonderfully secluded location with lots of privacy. The goats and chickens at the cottage are a continuous source of entertainment. Sjaak is very hospitable and likes to share the delicious and farm-fresh eggs with the tenants of 's Pothuus. The bedroom is a bit cramped in the sense that you can barely walk between the bed and the wardrobe, but that's a minor problem. The immediate surroundings are less suitable for walks, but if you take the car for 5 or 10 minutes, the walking possibilities are limitless. In short: highly recommended if you like peace and quiet!

Goats as weather females (three drops=in the coop/ dry=directly outside). Or were they weathermen? I don't really know.... But they were good company.
Downside was the limited/faltering internet in the evening.
For the disabled: low gravel around the house and threshold at the door make it difficult for wheelchair/walker users. Once in the house, it is easily accessible. This was N/A for us, but when looking for disabled locations, this house also came up, which is why I mention it.
In short: excellent basis for a no-nonsense rest holiday in the beautiful Achterhoek.

House is a bit dated. Location is very quiet, rural. The area offers many opportunities to go out by bike. The goats in the garden next to the house provide a lot of entertainment.
