Had a wonderful holiday! Landlord is very friendly, got good tips regarding the area. Got delicious eggs from the chickens in front of the door. Cottage is cozy, décor matching the history of the cottage.
We explored the area on foot and by bike, the distances are great, but that's what you have when you're in the countryside. We loved it between the meadows and the fields. We even saw several deer. If we go that way again, we will certainly think of 't Pohuus.

We are not demanding, but the pothuus was minimal. It's all outdated, and very busy in the décor. The cottage is far from the center, but the peace and quiet you have is wonderful. It wasn't completely clean, but it was adequat...

It wasn't completely clean, but it was adequate. A friendly landlord who wants to help you with everything. We got eggs from the chickens from the garden, nice and tasty. We really enjoyed our week but there were also some downsides.

A nice, quiet place to use as a base for the discovery of the Achterhoek. We enjoyed the peace and nature around the cottage. The owner clearly respects privacy.

We had a wonderful time in the Achterhoek. The cottage was a haven of peace! We went out every day. Lovely walk around the various castles in Ruurlo, (love path), Vorden and Lochem (Ampsen castle). Also the routes at Lebbenbrug...

We had a wonderful time in the Achterhoek. The cottage was a haven of peace! We went out every day. Lovely walk around the various castles in Ruurlo, (love path), Vorden and Lochem (Ampsen castle). Also the routes at Lebbenbrugge (Borculo) and the Slangenburg estate were all in the vicinity of 't Pothuis. A day in Zutphen, a visit to the CactusOase and the gardens of the Wiersse estate (limited opening hours), it's almost too much to mention. So not only 't Pothuus is recommended, but also the beautiful surroundings!

Why 3 of those huge armchairs crammed into the small living room? It is a house for 2 people. Because the décor is old/older it doesn't seem very clean. A rusty shower chair (which we don't have to use) is really yuck!! Tip to the owner: get rid of 75% of the "cozy stuff"! That gives peace and space. Take a fresh look at the décor in the cabinets as well.
