After a lovely walk, relaxation by the fireplace is certainly not a punishment! The wood is supplied during your stay.

The kitchen is fully equipped! From dishwasher to oven where you can easily prepare 4 pizzas at the same time!
Modern sanitary facilities with a shower cabin and a whirlpool!
Relax after a beautiful walk or bike ride on the Veluwe! You can do that in our multi-jet Whirlpool with massage function!
Even in the backyard you still imagine yourself in the forest.
In the evenings it is also a good place to relax under the veranda. You imagine yourself completely in the forest.
Plenty of privacy
Our holiday home has several seating areas around the house. So there is always a sunny spot!

This photo, taken literally next to our holiday home. Sometimes you can see as many as 5 at a time from the living room! That's nice to wake up to!

Enjoy our comfortable home
Can you picture it? Would you like a delicious breakfast at the large table with 6 chairs? View of the garden with the birds? Guests have seen a squirrel (December 2019) but I myself have not yet. I know they are there so come and see for yourself!

In the living room a cozy fireplace. Furthermore, a comfortable bench and 2 comfortable chairs. You can watch TV or put on a nice DVD. There are some DVDs in the cupboard.
All kinds of birds in the garden. This young great spotted woodpecker also found the garden in May 2020.
Nice relax chairs on the terrace next to the patio door. You can walk straight into the garden from the room.
There is a large dining table of no less than 2.20 meters with 6 chairs. Great for dining, playing a game or working on the laptop. In the photo you can see the French door to the garden.

Nice cooking in the kitchen. We have good pans in all shapes and sizes and even a steam pan. You can cook on an electric hob. Furthermore, the basic things are available such as salt and pepper, spices, kitchen rolls etc. Kitchen linen is also ready for you.
This photo shows a piece of the front garden (May 2020). In the summer the Hydrangeas bloom beautifully! In the spring the large Rhododendron. This is how it is beautiful every season.
After cooking in the fine kitchen, enjoy a meal together. We have beautiful glassware and a very extensive service so that it is really festive.
In the garden a lovely terrace with a view of the opposite meadow.
Nothing to add right? Sit outside. Let the spring come.
The smaller bedroom on the ground floor has a comfortable box spring. The beds are of course made when you come! There is also a wardrobe in the downstairs bedroom.
The toilet is also cozy!
The bathroom was installed at the end of October 2019. There is a nice bathtub with a separate shower area with rain shower and hand shower. Of course also a large radiator so that it is comfortably warm. There is a separate toilet, so handy with more family members in the house!

A cot (Bopita) can be placed in the large bedroom, but this can also be placed in the smaller room upstairs. There is a large comfortable box spring and a cozy seat. In the photo the bed is made up as 2 single beds. A 3rd bed can be added on request
The large upstairs bedroom of 30m2 is spacious and cozy. There is a good box spring that can also be made up as 2 separate beds as in this photo. There is also a seat.

Hulshorst is an authentic village on the Veluwemeer lake in Gelderland, one of the most beautiful wetlands in the Netherlands. The lake is located between the Northern Veluwe and Eastern Flevoland and is surrounded by beautiful villages such as Harderwijk in Gelderland and Zeewolde in Flevoland. The Veluwemeer is a popular destination for a holiday or weekend getaway in the Netherlands. During the summer months it’s a paradise for water sports enthusiasts, because it’s a great place for sailing and wind surfing. From Hulshorst you can directly enter the water with a boat or surfboard. Along the shores you will find beautiful beaches where you can sunbathe and swim. It’s also lovely here in winter; many ice skating opportunities arise once the lake is frozen.

Exploring Hulshorst and the surrounding area

A holiday home in Hulshorst is an excellent base for exploring both the village and the area. You can start with a walk through Hulshorst itself. One of the main attractions is the pretty white chapel, which is part of the Reformed Municipality of Nunspeet (to which Hulshorst belongs). Another attraction is the De Maagd windmill, a flour mill that was originally built in 1894. After two restorations, the mill has been in use since 1988. From Hulshorst you can also take nice daytrips in the area. With the Veluwe around the corner you can choose from the most beautiful walking and cycling routes through nature. Other famous attractions in the region are the Apenheul and the Koningin Juliana Toren amusement park (both near Apeldoorn), the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk and Walibi amusement park in Biddinghuizen. Alternatively, visit the famous Kröller-Müller Museum near the town of Otterlo.

  • A local delicacy are ‘Veluwse Zwienenkeuteltjes’, truffles made of milk chocolate in the shape of pig's dung ...
  • If there is enough ice, the Veluwemeertocht race is organised in winter - it’s one of fourteen natural ice races held in the Netherlands.
  • On January 25, 2013, the Dutch championship marathon skating on natural ice was held on the Veluwemeer lake. The veteran winner was Rudi Groenendal (for the third time in a row!).
