Välkomna till Evenröd Lakehouse — your holiday home in West Sweden
We are Barbara and Rob, and in 2025 we lovingly built this house on a quiet lake in Fjällbacka. A place in the middle of a protected nature reserve, overlooking the water and the forests of Bohuslän. Time can stand still here.
The house — Scandinavian comfort in Bohuslän style
Evenröd Lakehouse is built in the typical, bright Bohuslän style: warm, spacious and with that unmistakable feeling of tranquility that only a Swedish house can give. Inside you will find four spacious bedrooms, one of which is set up as a comfortable workplace — ideal if you want to stay a little longer or are considering a 'workation'.
The modern, fully equipped kitchen has everything you need: oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, kettle and a Lavazza espresso machine for your morning coffee on the terrace. In the living room, a real wood-burning stove provides cosy warmth on cooler evenings — just what you want after a day outside.
The house has two bathrooms: one with shower and toilet on the ground floor, and one upstairs with shower, bath and lake view — our favorite place to end the day. On the first floor, air conditioning ensures a peaceful night's sleep, even in the hot summer months. There is also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, and of course wifi throughout the house.
Outdoors — lake, forest and long Swedish summer evenings
The garden continues into the nature around it. A picnic table for long lunches outside, sunbeds to doze off in the sun, a fire pit for crisp evenings under the stars, and a SUP board to explore the lake. Grab a book, a glass of wine, and listen to the silence — which still really exists here.

What you can do here
Bohuslän is a paradise for those who love the outdoors. Hiking along granite coastlines and through quiet forests, kayaking between the islands, eating freshly caught shrimp with a view of the ships, or just swimming from the jetty. We're happy to tell you about our favorite kayak and outdoor address in the area — Marcus and his wife know exactly where to go.
For those who want to be a little more active: hiking, fishing, cycling, boat trips, spotting sheep in the nature reserve, or discovering the archipelago from the water. For those who prefer to do nothing: that's fine too. That's what this house was built for.
