In winter, it is half an hour's drive from Nyskoga to the ski resorts of Branäs and Hovfjället. We love to leave the hustle and bustle of the Alps behind us and spend a few days skiing in Branäs (see branas.se). Our new love is cross-country skiing; both in Branäs and in Hovfjället there are trails of various difficulty levels.
The house
The house has a kitchen, a living room, three bedrooms and a bathroom. On the kitchen side, the house has a covered porch. Around the house is a spacious garden. There are a number of barns in the garden, including a woodshed with plenty of firewood.
The house has a fiber optic internet connection and therefore excellent WiFi. Via the WiFi and Chromecast, you can watch Netflix on the TV, for example.
The layout of the holiday home is as follows:
- Eat-in kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven and dishwasher
- Sitting room with television, DVD player and chromecast
- Bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, washing machine and dryer
- Three bedrooms (two on the first floor, one on the ground floor) with a total of six beds
- Covered veranda
- Garden all around
The route to Nyskoga
There are many ways to get to Nyskoga: for example, with your own car via Denmark and 'the Bridge' from Copenhagen to Malmö. In addition, there are all kinds of boat connections of which the night ferry from Kiel to Gothenburg (see stenaline.com) is very attractive. Another interesting option is to take the plane to Oslo Gardermoen and rent a car there. KLM and Norwegian Air fly from Amsterdam to Gardermoen and if you book on time you can get a return ticket for less than € 100 . From Gardermoen you can reach Nyskoga in 2 hours and 20 minutes.
