Welcome to our holiday home "Alvsjo Anderssons". The house is located on the edge of the woods in the small hamlet of Alvsjohyttan. It is an ideal place to unwind and relax.

The spacious garden of 2000 m2 borders a small lake with crystal clear water. The nature in the immediate area is overwhelming. In the spring, the verges along the roads are full of beautifully blooming Lupins. In the morning you can enjoy the morning sounds of the cuckoo, woodpeckers and cranes.

In the evening you can enjoy the beautiful sunset at the large lake. During the day, the area offers plenty of opportunities to be active. Hikers are in for a treat. The guestbook in the house describes some very nice walks.

Children won't be bored here either. They can swim, row, fish, canoe and cycle here. In the evening it is worthwhile to drive quietly through the woods in the car to look for moose or other game. The wildlife population in the area is very high. While fishing, a beaver may just swim by.

The village itself has no facilities such as shops or a terrace. For groceries, a visit to a restaurant, a café or a terrace you have to drive about 20 minutes. This means that this house is not suitable for everyone.

Many day trips to other places and sights are possible from Alvsjohyttan. Places such as Eksharrad, Mora, Karlstad, Ludvika and Orebro are an hour or an hour and a half drive away and are more than worth a visit. There is also plenty of entertainment in winter, such as in the winter sports area of Säfsen where you can go skiing, cross-country skiing or book a snowmobile tour.

Renovation:
We have been the new owners of this house since the end of December 2023. In April 2024 we will first renovate a number of rooms in the house. For example, there will be a new bathroom, the kitchen will be renovated, the roof terrace will have a new balustrade and a number of bedrooms will have new wallpaper or color. From May 5, 2024 we will rent out this house ourselves.

House layout :
The house has a living area of 107m2 on a plot of over 2000m2. The house is equipped with WiFi for normal use. (not suitable for streaming or gaming). On the ground floor there is a bedroom with a double bed, a spacious kitchen with a large family table and all materials for extensive cooking, a toilet, an anteroom with a few lovely relaxing chairs and a living room with a fireplace. The living room has a TV and many DVDs with films and music.

On the first floor there is a spacious landing with access to a small roof terrace of 3m2. Furthermore, a toilet and another three bedrooms. 1 bedroom has a double bed and the other two both have two single beds. There is also a space for a bathroom, but this will not be in use until May 5, 2024. A new bathroom will be installed here in April 2024.

The house has a very large basement with an indoor garage, a workshop with heating pump, a shower room with washing machine and a drying room for wet laundry. In the winter months, the shower room can be additionally heated with a radiant heater.

In the garden there is a wooden roof to the right of the house where you can store a motorcycle or bicycles. The garden furniture and a BBQ are also located here. At the very back of the garden near the lake is another Swedish log cabin. There are some beds here. Nice for the children to spend the night there.

The lake adjacent to the backyard has "not yet" been made accessible for swimming. You can walk around it.

There are several bicycles in the garage under the house that can be used. There is a red rowing boat on the large lake near the lock in the village. This belongs to the house and may be used. Life jackets, a waterproof bag and oars can be found in the garage under the house.

The plan is to add at least one canoe to the house in September 2024.

We are Marco and Eveline. Since the end of December 2023 we are the new owners of the house "Alvsjo Anderssons". We live in the Netherlands in the province of North Brabant. Eveline works in a flower shop and Marco works as a thematic investigation detective at the Zeeland-West-Brabant police. We are married and have two adult children who also absolutely love Sweden. We have been going on holiday to Sweden for years and in 2023 we had the opportunity to buy this house.
