6-person holiday home by the lake in Lindesnäs. Enjoy an attractive and comfortable stay in this Swedish holiday home, suitable for 2 to 6 people. The house has been improved since 2023, including painting work. The house has a cozy living room with a view over the lake, a spacious kitchen, and three bedrooms: 2 bedrooms with a double bed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. In addition, there is a modern bathroom and a separate toilet. The lakeside porch, accessed directly from the living room, offers a beautiful view over the water. A place to really enjoy the peace and nature of Sweden.
Location
This charming holiday home is located on a beautiful lake in the quiet village of Lindesnäs, in the Swedish region of Dalarna. Sweden is known for its unspoiled nature, and this place lets you experience it to the fullest. From the house you can walk straight into the woods and be surrounded by the silence and beauty of the landscape. The house is located on a spacious, private plot, with a small sandy beach on the lake where you can swim. A short walk away, you'll find a cozy fireplace by a river, perfect for a traditional Swedish fire. Here you can bake pancakes or grill sausages. Also in the garden is a small fireplace where you can enjoy a fire. Close to the house is the Naturstig hiking trail, where you can really explore the area. You can regularly spot deer and moose here. This holiday home offers a special experience of the peace, space that makes Sweden so popular.
Dalarna - Central Sweden
Dalarna, the most quintessentially Swedish county, is known for its beautiful nature, rich culture, and ancient traditions. The midsommar festival is celebrated here, just like Christmas, in a big way.
Shops/restaurants
Within walking distance of the cottage is a cozy Swedish restaurant (open from the end of May to the beginning of September). Here you can eat well for a reasonable price. The children can get ice creams here. In the village there is a small bakery (sale at home). A 15-minute drive away is a small supermarket, the Tempo. The supermarket is not large but has a wide range of (fresh) products. A large supermarket is a 20-minute drive away.
Restaurants are about a 20/30 minute drive away in different places.
Recreation
The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, such as hiking through the impressive forests. You can go canoeing, mountain biking, and in winter skiing (on the ski slopes of Safsen and Romme Alpin), cross-country skiing or snowmobiling. A trip with sled dogs is also possible. For relaxation, you can fish, swim or play golf nearby.
Trips
The copper mines of Fallun are definitely worth a visit. Falu Gruva is a copper mine and museum around the mountain Kopparberget. The Great Copper Mountain Mining Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Orsa Bear Park/Predator Park is the largest predator park in Europe. In this park you can watch predators, some of which are found in Sweden, in their fairly natural habitat: bears, wolf, snow leopard, Persian leopard, wolverine, mountain owl, Siberian tiger and lynx. There are viewpoints in the park, so you can see the animals and have a magnificent view of the park.
Dalarna Outdoor. Go on safari and meet the animals in Sweden under supervision. Dalarna Outdoor offers many possibilities for trips, safaris etc. A great experience for young and old. You will experience nature and the acquaintance with the animal inhabitants even more intensely.
If you want to admire and feed moose up close, a visit to the Elk Farm in Eksharad is highly recommended for both adults and children.
Swimming paradise: Maserhallen Aqua Nova in Borlänge
If you want to spend a day shopping, you can visit the city of Borlange.
Travel
Car
The cottage is very easy to reach by car. You can travel via the Öresund Bridge. Since the opening of the Öresund Bridge, travelling by car from the Netherlands to Sweden has become much easier. The 16-kilometre-long bridge connects Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, with Malmö in Sweden. Really great experience!
You can also take the ferry from Puttgarden to Rødby, which runs every half hour and takes about 30 minutes.
Airplane
The cottage is easy and cheap to reach by plane. You can land at Arlanda airport At the airport you can rent a car with which you can drive to the cottage in 3 to 4 hours.
