Villa Verde, Salobreña

This luxurious villa was completed in May 2015. It has a beautiful, contemporary design and features a flexible layout. Villa Verde offers 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, beautiful views, very comfortable beds and access to several terraces.

The villa has been designed to be perfectly equipped for large groups (ideal for family reunions, retreats, conferences or themed holidays such as cooking classes or painting classes), but it is still perfect for a smaller family, as parts of the villa can be closed off. The price of the villa varies depending on the occupancy. The villa has air conditioning (cooling/heating) and WIFI throughout.

This spectacular villa has been built to a very high standard and features a huge (20 metres long by 4 metres wide), heated swimming pool with an automatic sundeck. The pool is tiled with black mosaic tiles that create a beautiful effect: it looks like pool and sea merge. A mobile fence can be placed around the pool for the safety of small children. Villa Verde also has a jacuzzi and a sauna in the garden. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea, the Moorish castle (illuminated at night), the beach of Salobrena and the Sierra Nevada.

If you like to cook, you will love this villa as it is equipped for a chef or actually for several chefs who can cook at the same time without disturbing each other. The kitchen has 2 ceramic hobs, 2 ovens, a warming drawer, 3 sinks (one for cleaning, one for food preparation and one in the coffee/tea corner), 2 dishwashers, 2 microwaves, an American fridge/freezer, 2 built-in fridges and plenty of counter space/worktops.  You can prepare meals for large groups here with ease and pleasure. The owners have designed this villa with great care and attention to detail. There is plenty of crockery and cooking utensils. Finally, there are 2 gas barbecues.

Part of the kitchen is a spacious dining table for 10 people. This can be connected to the living room or closed off by large sliding doors. The dining area opens onto the pool terrace and this part of the terrace has a retractable sun awning so you can enjoy meals outside in the sun or in the shade depending on your requirements. When the awning is off, it also keeps the house cool. This part of the terrace can be closed off from the pool area providing a safe space for children to play (provided the sliding glass doors in the living room are closed). There is a table tennis table on this part of the terrace, so you can actively relax. 

The living room has high ceilings and is divided into 2 parts: a sitting area and a second dining area with a spacious table for 10 people. This table can also be used at conferences or business meetings. A large TV screen hangs on the wall, so you can use it for presentations or for video conferences. In the sitting area of the living room there are comfortable sofas around a second television and the fireplace. This television has international satellite and there is a Blue Ray player.

The living room opens onto the pool terrace. This part of the terrace, with lounge set, also has a retractable awning, so that you can again choose between sun or shade. You will love the breathtaking views across the pool to the sea and the Moorish castle!

Villa Verde is built on the beautiful hill Monte de los Almendros (= the Almond Mountain). The communal recreation area with tennis court, swimming pool, paddling pool, football field and a small dining area (during the summer months) are within walking distance.

The beach, restaurants and shops are less than a 10-minute drive away. The airports of Malaga, Granada and Almeria are easily accessible. If you can break away from this beautiful villa, there are many things to see and do in the area: the Sierra Nevada ski resort, where you can also take beautiful walks, is less than a 75-minute drive away, so you can ski in the morning (from December to April) and enjoy the beach or your pool in the afternoon. The 18-hole golf course, which is located on the beach, is a 10-minute drive away. The picturesque mountain villages in the Alpujarras are close by, as well as the beautiful historic cities of Granada with the world famous Alhambra Palace and Malaga with its historic centre, the cathedral and the Picasso museum. 

Salobreña benefits from the subtropical microclimate with more than 300 days of sunshine per year and an average temperature of over 20°C.

The surcharge for renting the two bedrooms downstairs is 225 euros per week. The surcharge for renting the apartment on the top floor is 225 euros per week.
