Cortijo Algarobbo is a beautiful villa with a large veranda and generous private pool 20 minutes from the sea. The house is quietly located in the hills between Torrox and Cómpeta and offers a lot of privacy due to its unique location. Yet the house is not isolated. This recently modernized detached holiday villa is fully equipped and offers breathtaking views over the mountains and the sea. Due to its southern location, there is sun all day long in winter as well as in spring and autumn. The terrace is completely south facing, but because of the various terraces there is always a place in the shade. This villa is located in the popular region of Axarquía, just 60 kilometers from Málaga and 20 kilometers from the cozy coastal town of Nerja. The authentic white village of Cómpeta with its cozy terraces is a 10-minute drive away.
Cortijo Algarrobo
The single storey villa Cortijo Algarrobo has recently been modernized. The large terrace offers stunning views of the sea and surrounding mountains and hills. The entire house has air conditioning (hot/cold), windows with mosquito nets and a strong wifi connection. The eye-catcher of the villa is the large veranda (53 m2), the spacious terrace with swimming pool (8x4m) and the large lush garden. The porch includes a large dining area, wood stove and BBQ. The good wifi and the possibility to create different 'workplaces' offers opportunities for those who can work remotely.
Layout of the house
The entrance of the house opens into the spacious and brightconservatory which is equipped with a large dining table and a new pellet stove for the cool winter evenings. The conservatory provides access to the spacious and attractive living/dining room. This includes a cozy sitting area, wood stove, television (Smart TV with Chromecast) and a dining/working area. The large kitchen is accessible from the living room.
The fully equippedkitchen includes an induction hob, large fridge, freezer (3 drawers), dishwasher, washing machine, combi oven/microwave, kettle, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, milk frother, toaster, hand blender, blender and a large number of cupboards and drawers. The kitchen offers access to both the veranda and the west-facing covered terrace (18 m2).
The sleeping wing is accessible from the living room and has three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each bedroom has a double bed, a large built-in wardrobe and air conditioning. Adjacent to one of the bedrooms is a bathroom with bath, toilet, walk-in shower and washbasin. The second bathroom has a toilet, urinal, walk-in shower and washbasin. The bathrooms also have central air conditioning (hot/cold).
Garden, terrace and swimming pool
The porch, terrace, pool and garden of Cortijo Algarrobo are a feast for the eyes and house several cozy seating areas in the shade and sun. Around the private pool is a large tiled terrace with outdoor shower, sun loungers and a round dining table. The terrace not only offers a lot of privacy, but also sun all day long and a phenomenal view of the mountains, hills and sea. On the side of the house is an attractive covered terrace that offers a breathtaking view of the setting sun. In the beautifully landscaped garden there are many olive trees, citrus trees, cacti and many other Mediterranean flowers and plants. The driveway offers ample parking on site.
Environment
Cortijo Algarrobo is located in the Axarquía region not far from the attractive white villages of Cómpeta and Torrox with their attractive squares, winding streets, restaurants and cozy terraces. For those who love the sea, beach (sand) and promenade, Torrox Costa is a 20-minute drive away. Here you will find a wide variety of shops and terraces, as well as the well-known supermarkets, such as Mercadona, Lidl and Aldi. For those who prefer small rocky beaches, there is also plenty of choice in the area.
Many other beautiful authentic towns, such as Frigiliana and the charming coastal town of Nerja in the immediate vicinity are also worth a visit.
The area in which Cortijo Algarrobo is located offers many beautiful hiking trails, including the El Saltillo with a 54 meter long suspension bridge and the walk from the cortijo to the lost village of El Acebuchal. Cyclists and mountain bikers can also indulge themselves here thanks to the challenging mountain roads.
For those who like to soak up culture, there are also plenty of opportunities in the vicinity, including a visit to the historic cities of Málaga, Córdoba, Ronda and Granada.
In the winter season it is even possible to ski in the high altitude ski area of the imposing Sierra Nevada. This is only an hour and a half away!
