NUEVA CALAHONDA 4 is a really great penthouse ! It is located in a small low-rise apartment complex, in a quiet residential area, yet close to everything this beautiful coastline has to offer. You can explore the area or simply relax on the terrace, enjoy the private jacuzzi, cook on the barbecue and dine al fresco while watching the sun set over the Mediterranean Sea. Simply beautiful!
On entering the apartment you enter the bright and sunny living room/dining room which offers direct access to the beautiful terrace. There is cable TV with TV channels in most European languages. In the living room is a sofa bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all modern appliances including a fridge/freezer, microwave and oven, ceramic hob, washing machine and dishwasher. You have 2 bathrooms and 3 double bedrooms, suitable for up to 7 people. Ideal for a trip with the whole family or friends!
On the terrace there is a private jacuzzi from which you have a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea. There is a BBQ, sunbeds and table and chairs, so you can enjoy the outdoors.
In the complex there is a communal swimming pool (open all year round), a private parking, communal gardens and an elevator.
Calahonda is located between Marbella and Fuengirola. This beautiful area is a great base from which to explore the Costa del Sol. A few kilometres further down the road is Puerto Cabopino, which has a reputation for being the most special and picturesque marina on the Costa del Sol. It is a popular spot for tourists who want to enjoy a nice meal before taking a walk along the beautiful expanse of sandy beach. Some of the coast's most popular restaurants can be found here.
Nearby you can discover Miraflores, a popular golf resort and a little further you will reach the territory of Mijas and in the hills, Mijas Pueblo. Mijas Pueblo is one of the most popular white villages in Andalusia.
On a clear day, you can see the entire coast from here, including Africa and Gibraltar.
Calahonda has a beautiful long sandy beach with beautiful villas and urbanizations on the edge of it. On the beach itself you will find many nice Chiringuitos (beach restaurants) where you can eat delicious fish freshly caught in the morning. Close by are the natural sand dunes of Cabopino and if you like to visit a coastal part with even more tourist facilities you can go left to Fuengirola, or right to the famous Marbella, where you can find beautiful beaches, beach clubs and leisure opportunities abound.
Calahonda has many restaurants and shops and therefore all options for delicious dining and extensive shopping. Popular for this is the commercial center El Zoco. Here you will also find the excellent Club del Sol with gym, tennis, paddle, swimming pool and aerobics classes. The gastronomy in this part of the coast is 100% international with influences from all over the world. Belgian fries and steak, Dutch satay, English fish and chips, Hungarian goulash, Japanese sushi, Italian pasta and pizza, in short, everything you fancy is available. You could eat a typical dish from a different country every night of your vacation!
However, don't forget to try the local Spanish cuisine, which is one of the best!
The local village festivals of Calahonda give visitors the opportunity to taste the delicious traditional Churros, fried dough that is usually served with a cup of thick hot chocolate. Lovely !!
As Calahonda 4 is located in one of the smaller urbanisations of the coast, there are no large nightclubs here, but there is a choice of smaller venues in the El Zoco complex, which are busy throughout the evening and open until 3am.
Calahonda enjoys a subtropical Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and warm winters. A cooling sea breeze makes the summer heat bearable with average temperatures of 32 ºC during the summer. For those who want to discover Andalusia further, our apartment is ideally located to visit all the tourist highlights through day trips: Granada and the beautiful Alhambra Palace, Cordoba and its amazing Mezquita, the beautiful Seville, capital of Andalusia, the world famous Caminito del Rey in Ardales and so much more beauty to discover.
