Our holiday home is a quietly located, luxury apartment between the beach and golf courses. Less than ten minutes by car from fashionable Marbella. Via the private path four minutes walk from the beach, via the public road six.
The house is ideal for golfers, winter visitors and young families who want to leave the hustle and bustle behind.
You enter the apartment through the pedestrian entrance of the urbanization or from your reserved parking space in the parking garage. The spacious (93 square meters of interior space, 14 square meters of indoor covered patio and 14 square meters of indoor terraces), luxury apartment is located on the ground floor.
Through the hall you reach the living room and the kitchen with separate utility room.
The apartment is equipped with climate control (combined air conditioning and heating). Next to the kitchen, which is equipped with all appliances, such as a dishwasher, is the utility room with washing machine and dryer.
The 40-inch HD television has two channel packages: the Dutch NLziet package and a wide range of international channels, such as the main English, French and German channels. The smart TV has an additional HDMI connection and three UBS ports. There's netflix.
The living room gives access to a covered, indoor patio and a terrace with sliding doors. The terrace and patio are also accessible with sliding doors from the master bedroom.
Patio furniture is provided (two sun loungers and a table with four dining chairs).
The master bedroom with private bathroom can be closed off from the rest of the apartment. The second bedroom also has its own bathroom. Both bedrooms have two individual beds.
Both bathrooms have underfloor heating, a sink, toilet and bidet and are equipped with thermostatic bath/shower taps. One bathroom has a large walk-in shower (90 by 170 cm), the other has a bath with shower.
Urbanisation Alicate Playa is located 35 minutes by car from Malaga airport.
The urbanization was built under Moorish architecture. The complexes are surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens.
In these gardens is the swimming pool with a shallow children's area.
Within walking distance you will find a large, cozy tennis complex/fitness center with lounge terrace, bar and restaurant (royal tennis Marbella).
In addition to its fashionable beach life, Marbella is known for its many golf courses. The urbanization is located between Marbella Golf and the beach. In the very vicinity are Santa Clara Golf and Rio Real Golf. The Costa del Sol has more than fifty golf courses.
For a change from golf, you can relax on the beach. On this sandy beach you can make use of high-quality restaurants. You can rent beach beds and umbrellas. There is a private path to the beach.
Also within walking distance you can do your holiday shopping in El Rosario. There are also several restaurants there. After five minutes in the car you are at some large supermarkets.
After ten minutes in the car you will find a (very) large shopping center "La Cañada".
The historic centre of Marbella is 6 kilometres away. In this authentic, atmospheric part you will find, among other things, narrow streets, churches, squares, terraces and fine restaurants. A visit to the many kilometres of boulevard is also highly recommended. The fashionable entertainment centre of Puerto Banus can be reached in 15 minutes by car. Both Marbella and Puerto Banus offer plenty of space for your car in the car parks. On the outskirts of the city you can park for free and walk to the center via the boulevard.
For an afternoon out, you can go to Málaga with the Picasso Museum, the famous harbor and the cozy center with countless eateries. At a somewhat greater distance are Granada, with the Alhambra, Cordoba with its famous mosque and Seville with its many highlights.
In addition to beach life and golf, walking and cycling are becoming increasingly important in the Marbella area. For several years now, a cycling/walking path (la senda litoral) along the beach has been under construction. Eventually, this will be 180 kilometers long and connects all the boulevards of the western Costa del Sol. The wide path is built close to the sea and hangs almost above the sea in some places. At Mijas you can take a nice walk on this path. You can cycle many kilometers from Marbella center to the west on la senda.
A similar path hangs from the rocks above the sea and above cliffs near Málaga. This six-kilometre-long "King's Path" (el Camenito del Rey) is an incredible feat of architecture and must therefore be booked months in advance for a walk.
