Casa Mendoza is a beautiful villa with 3/4 bedrooms, very quietly located on the slope of a mountain with beautiful views and total privacy . The nearby village of Comares and the hamlet of Los Ventoros are within walking distance or just a few minutes by car.
Anyone who loves Moorish culture will certainly find something to their liking in Al Andalus.

The seaside town of Torre del Mare is a 30-minute drive away.

The house has high vaulted ceilings which provide a pleasant temperature in the summer.

The extensive lower terrace offers sun all day and a swimming pool to relax in
cooling, while the covered upper terrace provides welcome shade

From every terrace you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes.

Inside, in the living room, there is an open, modern kitchen with all amenities, such as a ceramic hob, microwave, refrigerator with spacious 3-compartment freezer and a dishwasher. There is an English coffee maker and a Dolce Gusto coffee maker.

The house provides a perfect base for exploring Andalusia and is a
ideal location for walking, bird watching, stargazing, horse riding and cycling.
The coast is a 35 minute drive away, where you can enjoy an abundance
beaches and amenities. There are also 3 National Parks and Nature Reserves
within an hour's drive of the property. The cities of Granada, Ronda, Malaga and Seville can be visited in a day trip.

If you like cycling, a mountain bike is already provided.

Notes on accommodation:

The house is ideally designed to accommodate 6 people comfortably.
In bedroom 4 (normally closed, possible on request) there is a small and a large sofa bed and a cot can be placed on request


Casa Mendoza is a smoke-free home!

There is a spacious 7x4m private swimming pool with 8 sun loungers and 4 outdoor seating areas.

The upper terrace has a large dining table with 6 chairs (+ 4 extra folding chairs if necessary). There is also a wooden table with 4 chairs that can be added.
There is also a large modern wicker corner sofa with more than enough cushions and throws at one end and a smaller modern wicker sofa at the other end of the terrace.
There is a parking/turning area at the bottom of the driveway large enough for 2 cars. A third car can remain in the private driveway.

Casa Mendoza is easy to reach from the main road (800m) via a paved road.

Casa Mendoza has Internet and WIFI suitable for streaming. A Chromecast is available.

The reception is done by the house manager who is available for all your questions.

We are Sonia and Geert, a Belgian couple.
We fell for the beauty of Andalusia with its beautiful landscapes, beautiful towns and proximity to the Costa Del Sol.
We experience a lot of peace and privacy at this place and luckily our guests experience this too.
Nature is beautiful. During the day there are the twittering swallows that sometimes fly right through the terrace and during the night you can enjoy a fantastic starry sky and the numerous shooting stars.

Explanation of prices

Prices from May 1 to September 30 include: water, electricity, internet, bath linen

Minimum rental period is 1 week.

25% deposit upon booking.
Remaining balance due 8 weeks before arrival.
Deposit 250 euros to be paid with balance. Deposit is refundable after a maximum of 10 days.
Full refund in case of cancellation if the property can be re-rented minus a fixed administration fee of 300 euros.
If the new booking is lower than the original, only the price of the new booking will be refunded minus the fixed administration fee of 300 euros.

Casa Mendoza is a beautifully decorated, comfortable and spacious villa. It is in an amazing position with stunning views. The keys were left in a secure location for us and then David came along to check everything was OK. He is lovely - friendly and helpful, and yet he left us in peace. We had a (minor) issue with plumbing and he sent someone along the same day to sort it out. Thank you David! The unmade road that leads to the villa is not for the faint-hearted - it was particularly difficult to drive along at night and we made sure we were back before dark - but we were assured it was one of the better ones in the area. It is worth the drive - you end up in a lovely spot. Comares village is about 30-40 mins walk away, and there is a well-stocked supermarket there. You can walk to a nice bar / restaurant in about 20 minutes, but for more choice of facilities you have to drive. We had a wonderful week, and would be very happy to stay there again. The villa is very well equipped, arrival and departure were easy and David is on hand to help with any issues and pass on useful information about restaurants and places to visit. It is approximately 50 minute drive to beaches and the road is very windy but to be in a villa with such amazing views it's worth it. There is a short cut walk from the villa, away from the roads, to Comares which takes about 20 minutes-great for morning coffee or evening drink at the bars. David popped in to see us, and kept in touch via text message to ensure we had what we needed. One small issue with the water was sorted out immediately. The house is lovely, with good bathrooms, comfortable beds and plenty of seating. The exterior seating is a fabulous place to spend some time enjoying the spectacular views. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything you need - the only thing we couldn't find was a bread knife. There were some welcome groceries left for us, which was nice. The villa was clean and tidy. The location is somewhat out of the way, so a car is essential. The roads are typical mountain roads with plenty of twists and turns on the way. The last short stretch to the villa is an unpaved road with steep drop-offs. The driveway to the property is steep. None of this was a problem for me, but my wife found the driving a little stressful. I think this is just the price one pays for staying in such a beautiful location. The pool is not heated, so bear that in mind. We couldn't really use it as it was too cold when we visited in April (in fairness, there had been a run of cold wet we
Comares in Andalusia is a pueblo blanco or a white village which is worth seeing because of its unique location and beautiful panoramas all around. The streets are narrow and a walk through the village takes you past the lovely houses in which the women sell local products to the tourists from the living room. The views of the area are beautiful and you look out over the imposing mountains of the Montes de Malaga and the coastline of the Costa del Sol in southern Spain. Take a look at the old fort La Tahona, which the Moors built on the remains of a Roman fort in the 8th century. From here you have a magnificent view of Comares and the Montes de Malaga. Calle del Perdon is named after the baptisms of dozens of backward Muslims that took place here after the reconquest of Comares by the Christians. After wandering through Comares, you can enjoy a terrace on the village square of Comares in beautiful Andalusia. There are many beautiful walks in the area of Comares to make and Comares is therefore ideal as a base for a walking holiday in Andalusia.
