Casa Maria is an amazing country house that offers you a private atmosphere and is pet friendly. It is set in the beautiful natural surroundings of Comares, a unique whitewashed Andalusian village declared 'Pueblo magico d'España'.
Ana, the owner, has transformed her beloved grandmother's finca into a modern, well-equipped and lovely home that gives you that holiday feeling from the moment you step through the gate. Everything you see here is her idea. From the antique floor tiles that she has reused in an original way in the bathrooms, to the bright and spacious living room/kitchen to the outdoor area with cozy corners, terrace, above-ground swimming pool and a BBQ zone with sink. There is even a restored antique wood-burning oven in the garden where guests can bake their own bread or pizzas.
When you enter this cozy house you will be surprised how bright it is. The terrace and garden with swimming pool are private and allow guests to enjoy an intimate holiday in a unique location. The beauty of the natural environment invites you to walk, cycle or simply relax and practice 'dolce far niente'.
Casa Maria has 3 bedrooms and 2 beautiful bathrooms, 1 en-suite (to the master bedroom) with bath, and another with shower.
There is a spacious and bright living room with wood stove and smart TV, an open kitchen with dishwasher and an extra room with washing machine. There are shutters everywhere.

This house is perfectly situated for guests who want privacy and who enjoy being in a natural environment, without being too far from bars and restaurants. A 5 minute drive takes you to the hamlet of Los Ventorros where there are some bars/restaurants and a further 5 minute drive by car takes you to the beautiful village of Comares, also known as 'The Pearl of the Axarquia'.

Comares, a typical Andalusian white village with narrow streets that lead you to extraordinary corners with every step you take. Follow the ceramic footsteps and discover the Moorish past... but don't forget to stop every now and then at a local bar or restaurant.
Comares is surrounded by beautiful countryside, full of impressive native trees and impressive paths that invite you to walk and enjoy nature. Here you will find the largest zipline in Spain and also a FREE PADEL TERRAIN.
There is a supermarket, bakery (bread baked in a wood-fired oven!), pharmacy, ATM and several bars and restaurants.
Just 30 minutes by car, will take you to the multi-award winning beach of Torre del Mar. Eat fresh fish in one of the many chiringuitos or enjoy a delicious ice cream while walking on the beautiful promenade.
Velez Malaga, which is right next to it, has a large commercial center and many supermarkets.
Nearby you can visit Nerja, known for the 'Balcon d'Europa' and the impressive caves. Lake Viñuela is a nice place to take a walk and have a meal in one of the restaurants overlooking the lake.
During a day trip you can visit all the tourist highlights of Andalusia such as Malaga, cultural and gastronomic capital with its streets full of beautiful facades, immersed in history. And how about a visit to Granada and the beautiful Alhambra Palace? The famous Caminito del Rey in Ardales takes you via an impressive hiking trail through the gorges of El Chorro. Cordoba with the Mezquita is unique in the world. A cathedral built inside a mosque.
