Holiday house

Casa Feliz is a quietly located detached holiday home with heated private pool in Andalusia. You have complete privacy here. Casa Feliz is a very comfortable house with, for example, wonderfully firm beds and in the kitchen all the equipment you could possibly need. For the children there are all kinds of games, toys, DVDs and books and of course a lovely swimming pool.
We have 7 beds in 3 bedrooms (and a baby cot on request) and 2 bathrooms, a living room and a large kitchen.

If you have any problems, you can always contact us! We live nearby and know our way around.

We let our guests speak:
"In one word: AMAZING!"
"If you are still in doubt about booking this holiday home, don't do it anymore, just book! During the summer holidays we spent 2 weeks in Casa Feliz with four people. We have never had such a complete, clean, well-kept holiday home. location is very quiet in the middle of the mountains and the house has beautiful views. The whole house is very clean and everything has been thought of.There is plenty of cutlery and the like, there are books, DVDs, games, all kinds of tourist information, towels, fresh linen. .. Everything you need is available and as icing on the cake a lovely private swimming pool.
Despite the quiet location, there is no need to be bored in the vicinity. We made trips to the Alhambra in Granada, El Torcal (a nature reserve with beautiful rock formations), the beautiful authentic Spanish village of Comares and we spotted whales and dolphins in Tarifa (a wonderful experience!!). All these trips are easy to do with a rental car.
Owner Gerda offers excellent service. For example, she arranged a rental car for us, sorted out flights and there was a bottle of champagne for my father's birthday. Very attentive.
All in all, great value for money with this holiday home. A wonderful holiday is guaranteed. Thank you Gerda, we hope to come back to Casa Feliz again in the future!"
Dear Gerda, We have finished our first working day and are already thinking back to those beautiful days in Casa Feliz. Gerda, we enjoyed your beautiful house and surroundings. We would like to thank you for all the good care, both in advance as during our stay.Really top!!!!! Not only the house and beautiful surroundings, but also the attentions such as the text message and the beautiful welcome package on arrival, and the beautiful card on return. Really thanks!."
"Just returned from a wonderful holiday at Casa Feliz. The complete cozy house with pool, the view, the peace, freedom and the sun, we already miss it. Comares is a great starting point to visit cities and the beach and to enjoy the sea."
"Casa Feliz is a 'home with a view' in the truest sense of the word: from the terraces you have a beautiful view of the landscape. We really enjoyed the hospitable welcome and the more than well-furnished house! The many hairpin bends in the mountain roads you are happy to take it! Comares is a cute village nearby!"

Love at first sight, that was 16 years ago. We saw Casa Maria (then it was still called that): the perfect pool and the super view, then we couldn't think of anything else for weeks.... Unfortunately, the house was sold right under our noses! What bad luck, but things can go strange, after two months we were called, we were lucky, the sale could not go through and we were happy to buy 'our' house, hence Casa Feliz. If you also want to experience happiness, come to Casa Feliz.

However ......... when you need throngs of tourists, many cars, crowds, pollution, noise, disco's and entertainment, then you've come to the wrong address!!!! It is very personal, if you want to go on vacation. If you are a sun worshiper-> then go in the summer months; temperatures can easily reach over 35 degrees. Swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. We guarantee you sunshine and no rain! Do you like the nature-then go in the spring or early summer (April-June), nature awakes and is at its best. The temperature is pleasant and it is almost always nice weather. Do you have cultural interets, than are actually all months except the high summer months (July-August) appropriate. The weather is usually good, but it is not too hot. Do you come for your retirement, then all the months are suitable.! We ourselves prefer to go to Comares in early summer and late summer, because it's lovely weather in Andalucia and it is very quiet. You can then do whatever you want and take an evening nice long sit outside and enjoy the breathtaking beautiful sky!
Just some comments from our guestbook: * It is very relaxed and completely in Casa Feliz, with stunning views! * Just returned from a wonderful holiday at Casa Feliz (23 august till 13/09/08). The cozy home complete with pool, sea views, peace, freedom and the sun: we miss it already Comares is a great starting point for cities to visit and from the beach and the sea to enjoy. Gerda thanks for all your good care, it was great! * Casa Feliz is a home with a view 'in the true sense of the word: from the terraces you have stunning views of the landscape. We have enjoyed the warm welcome and more than well-appointed home! The many hairpin bends in the mountain roads than happy to take you there! Comares is a cute village nearby! * Dear Gerda, We have been a few days at home and can look back on a fantastic stay. Nicole (the key holder) welcomed us in a well-maintained house. It proved very comfortable. We have, between our trips, enjoyed the many terraces and of course the pool. We will certainly recommend this address. Thank you for the good care. The service of the key holders was super! We already saw in the guestbook in the house that it is a perfect home for holiday celebrations. Thanks again for everything (including your card!) And hopefully next time! * We have a great week at Casa Feliz. We were there the 1st week of October and we had all week sun and it was around 25 degrees. Fantastic views, lovely fitted. The house is fully equipped and has a private pool ideeal. Regards, Caroline and Constantine from Utrecht
What do you not want? Everyone sits in the rain, wind and cold in the Netherlands and you are sitting a few hours each day in the sun to enjoy a panoramic view on the terrace of your own swimming pool with warm water or a cup of cafe con leche on a terrace in a picturesque village or .......... ! Casa Feliz is not built as a holidayhome , but as a permanent home, so it is isolated and can be inhabited in the winter. Then you need not worry about tropical temperatures, but the temperature may well rise to 20 degrees and almost every day the sun will be seen! The house has central heating. There are duvets and blankets! Of course there are substantial discounts if you rent for a longer period!
Comares is originally an ancient fortress, the ancient watchtowers and ramparts are partly preserved. From Comares you can still look very far, with good weather is about 50 km in all directions. You can see Velez Malaga in the south and even the sea. You can overlook the whole Axarquia to the east and you have a wonderful view of Periana. You can go to the north: the mountains of the Sierra Nevada are seen in winter with snow on it and you can see the Torcal near Antequera. In short, this was the ideal point in the time of the old Moren.De town is still small and very compact. You is only one way to get into the town with a car; you have to do the last part on foot (only a few people have the abillity to drive in some streets). At the beginning of the town are many parking places (in the summer and so guarded paid parking), or in full sun, so leave pets at home! From the parking place is also a staircase, it is a climb, but certainly worthwhile. The town is a route (indicated by footsteps on the ground) along all the highlights and attractions, view points, the cemetery, the walls, the ancient towers and buildings ect. You can just walk into the town by road, arriving first on the main square, where the town hall, a cafe, a hotel and even a terrace. In Comares are 2 banks and a pharmacy and hidden in the house (behind the curtain fly) some small supermarkets.
Southern Spain is not really an area where you think of winter. Yet not far from Casa Feliz is a mountain with snowcover in the winter, the Sierra Nevada. These mountains have peaks over 3000 meters, these mountains has the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula Mulhacen (3482 meters). The Sierra Nevada has more than 70 km of ski runs and lifts. The advantage of winter sports in Spain: prices of the lifts, ski hire and lessons and the cost of food and drink are low and of course the variety: you can one day go sunbathing on the beach the other day go skiing in the snow and a day later be culturely or go shopping in a comfortable temperature in a big city.

Andalusia, the southernmost region of Europe, it is an area of up to 87,595 square km (and thus is in area compared to the countries Portugal or Austria!). Andalusia stretches from the Mediterranean Sea in the east to the border with Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean in the west. The rock of Gibraltar is the extreme southern point, there is the 14 km wide separation between the continents Europe and Andalusia Afrika. There live about 8 million inhabitants, since a few years not only Spanish but also live and work (partly illegal ) many Africans (formerly many Moroccans, now people from other African states) and since the age of 10 settle many Northern Europeans at the southernmost tip of Europe (many British, Germans and Dutch, but also slowly finding their way to the sunny south). Andalusia is divided into 8 provinces each with their own capital city: Huelva, Cadiz, Malaga, Granada and Almeria on the coast from west to east and Seville, Córdoba and Jaén in the interior from west to east. In Spain, Andalusia is one of the 17 autonomous regions, it has so many things to say himself. In the city of Seville seats the parliament and the government of Andalucía. Andalusië is a land of strong contrasts: there are long sandy beaches but also rocky bays, there are large open rolling plains, but also wooded hills, mountains and rivers, there is a desert area, but also a coastline. The Sierra Nevada is the most famous mountains of Andalusia, the Mulhacen, the highest peak in Spain with his 3482 mtr.Andalusië has mainly a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers. In the city of Seville in summer temperatures above 40 degrees are measured. The number of hours of sun in levels up to 3,000 hours per year. There is little rain in Andalusia, and certainly not in the summer. In winter, snow is a rarity, except on the higher peaks, there can also be skied.
Are you a true nature lover? Then Comares is a good starting point. Within a half hour drive from the Mediterranean sea: sand, sea and (usually) the sun! Just where is the green and cooler protected area Montes de Malaga: a rugged mountain with peaks of around 900 meters. In this national park of 5000 hect. are still many nearly extinct animals and you will see a lot cypresses and firs. There are a number of trails through the area. Some further away is the nature of the Torcal (near Villanueuva de la Conception). An alien-looking landscape with amazing rock formations. This park is well worth your visit! Within one hourdrive by car you will find the Fuente de Piedra, a large salt lake where many Flamingos much of the year stay. The Sierra Nevada has the highest mountain in Spain: Mulhacén (3481 m). Off course there is also plenty nature to enjoy in the immediate vicinity of the house. Nature is at its best between February (when the trees bloom and blossom dominates) and June. July / August is often dry and barren, but that has certainly its own beauty!
From Casa Feliz it is about a half hour drive by car to the beach of Torre del Mar. If you drive a little further (between Nerja and Torre del Mar, between Malaga and Torre del Mar) the beaches are less touristy and therefore the quieter beaches of the Costa del Sol.
Traditionally, southern Spain was a valuable piece of land. There have been many battles in the past, especially between the Moors (Muslim peoples from Africa) and the (often Christian) inhabitants of the Iberian peninsula.Because during a longer period he Moors lived in Spain, they left a piece of their culture behind. So in our time we can still enjoy the magnificent Alhambra in Granada (remnants of) beautiful mosques in Seville and Cordoba. Of course there are beautiful Catholic churches found in the major cities. Furthermore, Andalusia has a wealth of museums with huge art treasures. If you're in Andalusia, you can hardly ignore it!
The town of Colmenar is not too big, but big enough to get lost. There are a lot of small narrow streets, it is always crowded with people. The market is on Thursday. Colmenar is big enough for everything to buy anything you might need. There are butchers and bakers, there is a pharmacy, a car repair garage, there is a petrol station. There are a number of smaller supermarkets and there is also a large supermarket at the beginning of Colmenar if you take the old road from Colmenar to Málaga. In Colmenar is a public swimming pool and a number of real estate agents (including a Dutch: Montes de Malaga). Colmenar is a cozy town with very friendly people. There live even a few Dutch people in Colmenar. There is a hotel and there are a few restaurants, of which Flores (from the square with the statue in the city center up the road, Flores is the top of the road) is the best, although it costs something more, but then you get really the best food and service! A cheaper possibility of eating is Los Moriscos, which lies outside the old road to Colmenar Colmenar-Antequera, just across the provincial road Casabermeja - Velez-Malaga, on the left side of the road. You'll see two restaurants (the same owner and same kitchen): the left one the is more fancy and therefore more expensive, the right one is simpler but just as tasty. If you are between 14.00 and 16.00 on weekdays Spanish really want to eat for little money you should definitely go here for € 7.00 per person you get a 3 course meal including drinks (wine, bottled water or soft drink) and a basket of bread . There is no menu, you can choose from 5 or 6 starters, 7 or 8 entrees and several desserts or coffee. Order porra it is there a starter (thick cold tomato / pepper / garlic soup / sauce) SWEET! Take calamari or paella as a main course. Be warned: Make sure your fingers are not eating!
The province of Malaga is one of the eight provinces of Andalusia, it is an important province because this province is in the Costa del Sol. This Costa is. with the Costa Brava in northern Spain, one of the main tourist area since twenty years. The main tourist resorts on the Costa del Sol: Estepona, (a tourist resort in attendance), Marbella (the place to be seen for the happy few and the rich Europeans), Fuengirola, Mijas and Torremolinos in particular (where the tourism all began). Here are the high rise hotels side by side on the beach and on the first km inland). short there is a lot of tourism and therefore it is a rich province. The capital of this province is the Málaga. Málaga is located near the sea and has a beautiful old town and an important harbor. Málaga is the largest city after Seville in Andalusia and is the 5th largest in Spanje.Málaga is a busy and dynamic city, not only becasuse of the importance of tourism. The service sector and trade are of great economic weight. In the Semana Santa (the week before Easter) Málaga attracts many visitors (certainly not just foreigners) by the parades that are organized. Furthermore, Málaga is popular for its traditional festivals as Feria and the Fiestas de los Verdiales. In the old town are the main monuments: the Gibralfaro (the lighthouse hill), the Alcazaba (Moorish building built on Roman foundations) and not forgetting the Cathedral (built in 1528 on the foundations of a mosque). In the city boasts several parks and in the narrow streets are all kinds of palaces, museums and churches. The mercado (= market) is on the Alameda Principal. The main shopping street is Calle Marques de la Larlos. The Alameda Principal and el Guadalmedina is a large commercial area where you can buy many things. The perhaps most famous resident of Málaga was Pablo Ruiz Picasso, he was born in 1881 at the Plaza de la Merced. Furthermore, the Malagueta arena (bullfights) and the Ayuntamiento (Town Hall) are worth viewing.De best restaurants can be found near the harbor, where the most delicious fish dishes are served.
The province is a relatively flat province. The countryside of Seville possesses a large quantity of art treasures and delightful villages where there are architectural masterpieces as Écija with its Baroque bell towers and houses his palace, Marchena, with its castle and the Iglesia de San Juan Osuna and with his Colegiata in the Renaissance style and its palaces. The countryside of Seville is reminiscent of the Sauerland in Germany: gently rolling green or yellow (depending on the season) hills planted with wheat or sunflowers, only the temperature is usually (much) higher than in Germany .De city of Sevilla is a very big city, where it is busy and usually very hot. But there are many attractions in this city well worth visiting. Actually, more than 1 day in Seville to spend and to see everything and to do (especially the evening events) is recommended! Seville is 225 km from Casa Feliz and is easily accessible via the highway. Nearby Seville are the ruins of Ithaca, a beautiful old half-hidden area with lots of ruins from Roman antiquity.
Granada is about a half hour drive from Casa Granada Feliz. It is a very nice town with nice shops and a beautiful center with many restaurants and lots of buildings that are well worth watching! But if you go to Granada, you go natural for the Alhambra: the complex of Moorish royal palaces at the mountain in Granada. You will find the inspiration of the Dutch artist Esscher. The Alhambra is incomparable, such remnants of the ancient Islamic culture, something so beautiful and impressive scene you will encounter nowhere in Europe! If you want to visit the Alhambra, book in any case the tickets in advance by internet to avoid disappointment.
The Torcal is a spectacular mountain range near Antequera and well worth a visit! In this very special mountain are a number of hiking trails, even for the inexperienced hiker. It is a long ridge about 45 km north of Málaga which is largely deforested. There are many bare rocks in very special natural formations. There is an interesting rest marigold bunch, some bushes and there are olive and almond trees. Birds that do occur are: the Bonelli's eagle (7 - 9 pairs) and the Chough and the peregrine falcon, owl, alpine swift, rock pigeon, blue rock thrush, bunting and gray rotsmus. The landscape unique rock formations of El Torcal, along with Fuente de Piedra, the honor as the first Natural Park of Andalucía to be designated.
The Fuente de Piedra (Andalucia, 10,600 ha.) contains (salt) water. Almost all salt lakes in Spain dry up during the summer, but in Fuente de Piedra (6.5 x 2.5 km) is always water. Fuente de Piedra has a giant flamingo colony, with up to 16,900 pairs. The flamingos breed here. They arrive in large numbers at the end of the winter and leave in the summer. Furthermore, it is more important for the Kentish plover (100 pairs), the laugh tern (676 pairs) and waders. Some of the lakes (16% of the area) are protected as a nature reserve.
The town of Ronda is worth a visit. It is a town that is described by many artists as an inspiration because of its special location. Ronda is built at a mesa adjacent to a very deep abyss. The city is divided by the ravine of Guadalevín, on the one side is the ciudad (the old medieval city) and at the other side is the Mercadillo (market). Both parts are connected by the Puente Nuevo, a bridge that was built in 1793 to connect both parts. Ronda has long been a Moorish fortress, the walls of the fortress are stll there. It was one of the strongest frontier places of the Moorish empire, as you can possibly imagine if you're in Ronda. You should climb the tower of the Iglesia de la Encarnación (note: this is only a few hours a day). From this tower you have a panoramic view of the surroundings of Ronda: a flat plateau with almost immeasurable views in all directions. The church itself is worth visiting. The ciudad is the quietest, the prettiest part of Ronda, the Mercadillo is livelier, noisier. You should if you're in Ronda visit the city on foot (the streets are often too narrow for today's cars) and you have to walk on the bridge between the two districts because of the experience and idyllic pictures! Real Spaniards boast Ronda bullfighter because of his dynasty (very passionate and brave, they seem to be), but I prefer to remain silent. The arena of Ronda is very old (1785) and the building itself is very impressive, there would not only bullfights take place!
The Nerja Caves are certainly worth a visit: it is the oldest caves in Europe, where prehistoric paintings on the walls are found. From the highway the Cuevas de Nerja are marked, at the exit of the roundabout 4/5 around and then up the mountain. There are plenty of (paid) parking places. Don't go only to the petroglyphs to see (because you need very good will to see them), but also enjoys the magnificent corridors and a very large hall where stage and musical performances are held because of the perfect acoustiek.|There are guided tours in the galleries, this is included in the price and also required, and fun (the guides do their best to make it attractive for everyone). In the caves there a fixed low temperature of 15 degrees, so this trip is preferably suitable during a super hot day! Do have good shoes, because there are many steps to be taken! The tourist town of Nerja is nice to have seen, it was originally a small fishing village but now more tourists visit the town.Nerja has few beaches, so if you like a day at sea to spend, then go a few kilometers in the direction of Malaga (back so) and ride between Nerja and Torre del Mar, to look somewhere for a larger and quieter beach search.

The dishwasher is easy to operate, in the kitchen next to it are probably still some dishwasher tablets. The manuel is in the drawer of the table.

Comares is the nearest "town" (3 km), in the information folder are some leaflets about Comares.
CD player is easy to use (the manual is in the right tray of the coffee table), some CDs are in the bookcase under the CD player.
The central heating is a wonderful luxury, but consider the cost! In the winterperiod there may be extra costs if you use more gas than normal. These are calculated based on your gas consumption.
The DVD player is also easy to use (the manual is also in the right tray of the coffee table), there are all kinds of movies in the TV cabinet.
Veterinarian: There is a veterinarian in Colmenar, but in Casabermeja (near the roundabout at gas station) there is a nicer and better (according to insiders, we ourselves have no experience with veterinarians).
The standard first aid resources are top of the bookcase in the red box.
Electricity: 220V. In Spain, sometimes for shorter periods the electricity falls out. Therefore in the key cabinet behind the door is a flashlight, there are also tea lights in a kitchen cabinet and there are candles in the living room. Usually it takes this discomfort takes no more than a few minuten. Makes sure that the electricity switch of the pool is always on (there is written pool below it), this switch is for the timer and the pump of the pool.
The townhall of Comares is located on the square opposite the tobaccoshop and beside the hotel. There's a lady who speaks English (even LIKE!), She gives desired information about anything and everything.
Garbage: Please gather in small bags and bring it preferably every day to the container on top of the hill because of the "danger" of ants, mice, or worse! In the drawer are blue bags or use the shopping bags that you get everywhere.
Internet in Spain is very expensive. it costs you 15 euros per week, but you have very reliable and fast internet. Please remember to arrange this in advance! Internet is only if you paid!

Children's furniture (cot, high chair, etc.) you can ask us on the reservation, we'll make sure it is ready for you!
The refrigerator is plugged into the socket on the counter, making sure that the red light stays on, then the refrigerator operates. Save as much as possible food in the refrigerator and not on the counter because of bacteria and vermin.
Doing nothing is perfect for a vacation at Casa Feliz, enjoying is the keyword!
The riding school where you can rent a horse to ride is on the road to Colmenar (top of our dirt road to the right). The riding is on the corner of the first road left up to the right (about one km away). From our balcony you can see the large white Cortijo with outbuildings located on the mountain left behind the house.
In our garden, you can harvest figs, almonds and grapes. There are also olive trees.
The Post Office (Correos) in Comares is from the central square right up the road (along the Cajamar). After 2 left lanes is the Correos (a house), but the opening hours are very limited: every day between 13.00 and 14.00 hours they are open, except on Sundays and on days when the postman nobody expects (but if you ask , then someone in town will propably call the postman).
Stamps are available in the Tabacos on the central square in Comares.
The pump of the pool is connected to an automatic timer, make sure the switch on the electrical panel, where pool (below) is never turned off. If the pump stops working, the pool has within a week green algae.
Restaurants in Comares: Atalaya (directly at the beginning of Comares) and El Molino in the central square. in Colmenar: Flores (from the central square up the narrow road into the city in the direction of Comares, Flores is located at the top of the street; here you can eat delicious and nicely for not too expensive (about € 15.00 per person 2 course incl drink). The pollo de la plancha and paella are delicious! And towards Alfarnate / Alfarnatejo is Los Moriscos where you can eat. The right restaurant is more for drivers (so do not expect fancy controls), but the food here is super super nice (3-course menu including drinks for € 7.50 p / p). The left restaurant is about twice as expensive, but classy and just as delicious! The nearest restaurant at Casa Feliz is within walking distance in Los Ventorros (top with our track left at the crossroads right, then after 500 meters right along the road ).
Supermarkets: Comares has a small Coviran where they sell everything, this is on the Plaza de los Verdiales (from the central square left up to the square with the view, the supermarket is in the left corner). In Colmenar are a number small supermarkets and a big supermarket, the Día (at the end of Colmenar Casabermeja direction). In Colmenar are also a number of smaller shops (many butchers). Between 7.00 and 8.00 hours in the morning there is often a sort of mobile shop with the most urgent supplies, it stops at the top of the hill at the disposal container. Do not rely too hard on him every day (around the same time) is, after all it is Spain!
Keep in mind the siesta in Spain ........... between 14.00 and 17.00 ; them the social life stops. Shops / banks / companies are closed. The Spanish eat between 14.00 and 15.00 hours hot (often outdoors), then they must "bulging". In the afternoon life back on track and shops, etc. are often from 16.30 or 17.00 hours to 20.00 open again or 21.00, except in summer.
The key is very important in order to be careful with. Only if you return the key, you get the deposit back.
Games are enough at top of the cabinet in the children room.
Toys can be found in the basket in the same room.
Bars on the windows can be found everywhere in Andalusia. This is mandatory for insurance. This allows you at night to let the windows obe pened for cool air to enter.
The water of our pool in the summer around 29 degrees. The outside temperature in summer is usually above 30 degrees, it never rains in the summer. In autumn and spring temperatures are pleasantly warm. There is usually some wind around the house. In the winter it can be on some days quite windy and rainy, but usually in a sheltered spot in the sun sitting outside is still quite pleasant. You could also make a day trip to Torre del Mar, the sea is especially during winter warmer.
On the television the next station are to be received: BBC1, BBC2, Ned3, RTL 4, RTL 5 and SBS 6, RTL7, Net5, CNN, ARD,ZDF, BVN, RaiUno, RTL, CNBC, Jetix and Veronica. Turn on the TV using the button on the device, then with the dark gray remote turn the TV on net 1. Then with the philips remote control (light gray) you can chose all the channels we receive by satellite.
Garbage collection up in small bags (bags can be found in the kitchen or the grocery bags from supermarkets) and every day bring it to the container along the road at the top (with the signs with place names). The large container is emptied almost every night, even on Sundays!
Be especially very welcome in our house!! Water is a very scarce commodity in Andalusia. The municipality of Comares is pumping the water from deep in the soil and in summertime each day a few hours the watersupply is closed. Therefore we have in the garden a water deposit of 5000 Ltr (this seems great, but is quickly consumed and if the municipality stops the watersupply, then the deposit gets empty quickly and remains empty). So be careful with water.
Tap water is not drinking water, on arrival you will receive a bottle of drinking water and in every town and village there is drinking water for sale for a euro you can buy large 5 liter bottles in most supermarkets.
The washing machine is easy to operate, the laundry (up to 4 kg), powder in the bowl at the top left. Then select the program by the clock clockwise to close the door then the light turns "inicio" flashing, press the button below and run the washing machine. Once it is finished, the light stays red. Then the door can be opened.
The wind in the mountains are unpredictable, there can be very sudden strong winds blow, so be careful with towels, wax, chair cushions and umbrellas.
You receive a bottle of wine on arrival and you feel welcome, enjoy it!
Beware of the sun, its shines brighter than you usually would think so.
The pool in the summer is 2x a week supervised by a specialist. It monitors and regulates the chlorine and pH levels of the water. In winter he comes 1x per week (because the pool needs less cleaning). He fills the pool if necessary and cleans it. The water is a number of hours every day, pumped through a filter, so that it remains as clean as possible.
Last year it was very sunny and dry in southern Spain, which is fine for guests, but less good for the water resources of Andalusia. In order to avoid that guests do not have water, we have a stock of 5000 liters! This deposit is almost every night a few hours not supplies with water because the town stops the supply. But in Spain the motto remains: don't over consume water! A stock of 5000 liters should be enough for satisfy the waterneeds of a family during 2 weeks, without renouncing the luxury of a shower, dishwasher and washing machine (but not every day washing with only a quarter filling! )
