In 2019, we and children decided to exchange cold Belgium for warm Andalusia and settle in bustling Alhaurin El Grande, a stone's throw from the Costa del Sol.
In 2021 we had the opportunity to buy our neighbors' house and convert it with an eye for detail and comfort into this beautiful holiday home "Villa Mariposa". We receive our guests as we would like to be received on holiday ourselves, being hospitable, respectful and helpful.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Explanation of prices:

These prices include: water -wifi - bed/bath and pool linen, electricity with a maximum of 35kw/h per day, additional consumption to be deducted from deposit. For stays longer than a week, bed and bath linen will be changed on Saturday.

Cancellation Policy:
If the renter wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the renter must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
Cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
Cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, he will continue to owe the full rent.

A 30-minute drive will take you to the center of Mijas Pueblo. the drive from Mariposa to Mijas offers beautiful views of the valley and the costa del sol. Park your car in the "aparcamiento Mijas", is a spacious, clean parking in the center of Mijas and costs only 1 € per day.

one of the very pleasant internationally visited top golf clubs with 27 holes. only a 5 minute drive

the king's path was for years the most dangerous hiking trail in the world!! Now it has been completely restored and you can walk this path completely safely. In the meantime, this has become an unmissable tourist attraction for which you should book your tickets online in advance.

In the history of Andalusia, Antequera was a very important commercial and cultural hub. Located at the intersection of the axes of Granada and Seville and Cordoba and Malaga, Antequera was frequented by people of different origins and different religious persuasions who in turn each wanted their church on site, hence the 26 churches, 7 monasteries, various museums, a beautiful center, nice shops and an alcazaba with watchtowers and city walls.
