An oasis of comfort and tranquility so close to the sea. Our villa is located 2.5 km from the pleasant sandy beach, El Portet, within the green area of Verde Pino in Moraira. We renovated this dream house in 2022 and fully equipped with heat/cold air conditioning. Although the house has four bedrooms, sleeping a total of eight, it is an ideal home for families of 4 to 6 people.


In a cul-de-sac, this place offers peace and privacy. You can cool off in the rectangular, 8x4, private swimming pool (heatable from October to May) or on the covered terrace (naya). But of course there are also plenty of places to sunbathe in privacy. The pool has walk-in steps and pool steps. The larger supermarkets (Mercadona, Aldi, Carrefour and Lidl) are about a mile away. The distance to the center of Moraira is 5 kilometers. 


Layout of our villa:

A metal gate opens to the spacious paved driveway, which offers space for two to three cars and leads to the villa. From here, all accommodation is set up for comfort on two levels, which can also be used separately. This makes the house ideal for families who want to bring an extra couple. A reja (Spanish for gate) and wooden door opens into the hall, which leads straight ahead to the very large living/dining room (with wood burning fireplace and TV with Chromecast) and open kitchen (fully equipped, such as dishwasher, fridge with freezer, grill oven, microwave, juicer, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, oven dishes, sharp knives and plenty of Wedgwood crockery).

From the living room you have access to a covered balcony overlooking the valley. This balcony is ideal for having a drink with four to five people at the end of the afternoon. Furthermore, on this floor you will find a very large (master) bedroom with fitted wardrobes, a private bathroom (with hair dryer) and a separate (guest) toilet. To the right of the house is a dining table with six chairs, where you can serve a quick breakfast or lunch. To the left of the house is a terrace with a dining table for 4 people. This area is often used as a smoking area, as this is not allowed in the house.

An internal staircase leads to the ground floor where you will find three bedrooms and an office. From the office (where the router is directly connected to the fiber optic cable for lightning-fast WiFi (fiber optic WiFi connection up to 1,000 Mb) throughout the house and in the garden) you can access the garden through patio doors. On the ground floor you will also find a large family bathroom (also here is a hairdryer) with two sinks, a walk-in shower and toilet, a second living room (with flat screen TV (without remote control) with Chromecast and DVD player with many DVDs) and open kitchen (with dishwasher, fridge with freezer, grill oven, microwave, juicer, kettle, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, etc.). The kitchen was renovated in 2025 and offers direct access to the pool and terraces. In the naya there is a ten-seater dining table and a gas barbecue (please use this outside the naya). The Miele washing machine and dryer are in a utility room (also called a laundry room) with workbench and tools. In the back of the utility room are the boilers and the water descaler (with battery, so that it continues to work in the event of a power failure or the like).

The house is not rented to groups of young people.

Pets are not allowed.

Smoking is only allowed outdoors. 

Water and high-speed Wi-Fi (fiber optic 1000 Mb) are included in the rental price. 

If swimming pool heating is desired, this can be turned on three days in advance for €70 in March, April, May, October and November.

In the months of December, January and February we charge €100 for heating in advance.

Surcharge for arrivals after 21:00 €35,-. Payable to administrators.


Moraira

We are Petra and Henkjan and have been coming to this region for over 25 years. Since we first came to the Costa Blanca in 1999, with our daughter(s), Moraira has been our favorite holiday destination. Partly because of the microclimate, the calm, clean sea and the friendly people, we always feel good in Moraira. It is not called "paradise on the Mediterranean" for nothing. Now that we have our own dream home, we like to share it with people who understand the art of enjoyment.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Check-in is possible between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM. For arrivals after 21:00,-, the managers charge a surcharge of €35 to be paid directly to them.

In high season it is only possible to check in on Saturday from 16:00 and to check  out on Saturday until 10:00 at the latest. Outside the high season it is possible to choose check-in and check-out every day (for stays of 7 days or longer). However, it must be in line with the previous rental or be at least 7 (seven) days between the previous and your planned period.

Our rates are adapted to the busy periods due to school holidays and the like.

In the unlikely event that the trip is canceled, this must be done in writing, by e-mail. The fees we charge depend on the time of cancellation.
  • cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
  • Cancellation between the 90th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
  • cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

Ten years ago, Moraira was voted the best holiday destination in Spain! We understand this, because Moraira is a beautifully maintained, cozy fishing village (without high-rise buildings) on the Costa Blanca. It is one of the most beloved regions of Spain, and not only because of the beautiful coast... According to the WHO, Moraira (and surroundings) is one of the healthiest areas in the world because of the so-called microclimate! In the winter months it lies in the warm air flow from Morocco. This means that our house has wonderful temperatures in the winter.
Moraira has many nice shops, a large weekly market, a fish auction, cozy (tapas and cocktail) bars, many restaurants, attractive terraces, and a beautiful modern marina.
It is not surprising that people like the late Tina Turner, Madonna, singer Malú and even the grandfather of the Spanish king chose Moraira to relax. Moraira offers almost everything you need for a pleasant holiday, without it feeling like a tourist trap. It has undergone a significant transformation in recent decades. Yet Moraira has managed to retain its relaxed atmosphere. The marina 'Club Náutico Moraira' was built in 1985. At Club Náutico you can enjoy the view from the restaurant or the cocktail bar, even without a boat.
Moraira has two sandy beaches, Playa de L'ampolla and the bay of El Portet. The Mediterranean Sea near Moraira is ideal for SUPing. In the bay of El Portet it is almost always calm and there are hardly any waves. The ideal conditions to master SUPing. SUP boards (but also kayaks and sailboats) can be rented on the beach in the summer.
Along the coast between Moraira and Calpe there are numerous small bays with stone beaches, such as Advocat, Fustera and Baladrar. You will also find 2 beautiful golf courses nearby, Club de Golf Ifach and Club de Golf Javea, both 9 holes. There are padel and tennis courts in the center of Moraira and you can take beautiful mountain walks in the area.
You can fly to both Alicante (1 hour drive) and Valencia (1 hour and 15 minutes drive) (by car from Utrecht Central Station it is less than 2000 km).
In short: you will certainly enjoy yourself in Moraira!

About the area
• In the green hills that surround Moraira, you can enjoy the many natural beauties that this coast has to offer during trips, such as almond orchards, orange plantations and grape fields (Moscatel). In the area you will find a number of nice places such as Javea, Altea, Gata de Gorgos (nice shops that sell reed products), Calpe and Denia. A little further afield you will find a number of places that are definitely worth a visit, such as:

• Les Fonts de l`Algar: The waterfalls of Algar are beautiful to see and if you want you can also swim in them, but take water shoes with you and keep in mind that the water is cold!

• Jalon: In the valley, a 30-minute drive from our house, this is a must visit on Saturday morning with its flea market (every Saturday) and the wine bodega, where we always get olive oil and other delicacies in addition to wine.

• Guadalest: the former fortress Guadalest is located on top of a mountain. The town with the 'hanging castle' is a tourist attraction and was declared a monument in 1974. There are numerous museums and historic buildings to visit. Furthermore, various souvenir shops, restaurants and works of art. The castle ruins or a boat trip on the reservoir, which is located below Guadalest, also make this town really worth a visit.

• Benidorm: If you come with children, there are 4 beautiful parks in and around Benidorm that are worth a visit:
- Terra Mitica – theme park
- Terra Natura – zoo
- AquaMundo – water park
- MundoMar – zoo with dolphin, walrus and parrot shows. Discount vouchers are often available via the internet or the tourist office in Moraira.

• Valencia: is more than worth a visit. You can rent bicycles, take a city walk or take a bus tour through the city past all the sights!

• Alicante: if you like a city trip during your holiday, we definitely recommend going to Alicante. Here too you can rent bicycles and walk through the old town with its delicious restaurants and nice shops. Once you are in Alicante, also take the boat to:

• Tabarca: The island of Tabarca is the smallest inhabited island in Spain with only 57 permanent residents. The island is located close to the Cape of Santa Pola off the coast of Alicante and is approximately one hour away by boat. Tabarca is only 2 kilometers long and 400 meters wide. Really beautiful to walk through.
