High up on the mountain, among olive trees, fruit trees and wild flowers, lies our finca. The valley spreads out below you; in clear weather you can even see the sea glistening on the side of Javea. Coarse stones from the mountain itself form the walls. This keeps it nice and cool inside in the summer, while outside the air is clean and quiet.
There is peace and quiet here. No crowds, no passers-by — just space, light and the gentle sound of nature. The apartment has its own entrance, so you can retreat whenever you want.
In this advertisement we rent out the apartment: two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a private entrance. It is connected to the house through an inner door, so that family or friends can come along on request and you can rent the entire house.
From the terrace you look into the valley. Children play between swings, slide and trampoline. If you want to exercise, you will find a sports area in the old donkey stable. Here you don't just live in a house, but in the middle of nature — with space to be together and to be alone for a while.
Around the finca, the adventure begins at the edge of the garden. There starts a path to a spring; Then the hiking routes fan out over the mountains. There are paths for a quiet morning walk and brisk tours for those who want to go further.
Three hundred meters higher, at the top of the mountain, is a nice restaurant. There you can relax with a coffee or enjoy a Spanish lunch, with the landscape below you.
Cyclists know this region well: the roads wind through the landscape and you often see them pass by. Motorcyclists also have a great time here, with view after view.
The nearest village is a ten-minute drive away and has a small local supermarket for daily shopping. The larger villages of Jalón and Orba are both within a twenty-minute drive. There you will find spacious supermarkets, restaurants and squares where life slowly passes. Every week in Jalón there is a big, famous flea market — one of the highlights of the region.
After a day in the mountains, the sea is close by. The sandy beaches of Dénia and Oliva are about a forty minute drive away. There you can swim, laze around or get out on the water — surfing is just part of it.
And when the day is over, the best remains: sunsets that turn the valley into gold and pink, until the last streak of light disappears behind the mountains.
