Casa Tien near Javea and Moraira.


Good day

We (Gert and Tjakina) rent out our beautiful villa, with air conditioning, swimming pool, garden, overlooking Benitachell, Javea, Moraira and a piece of the Mediterranean Sea, for much of the year. The villa is located in a quiet, well maintained and in the evening well lit urbanization Residencial Los Molinos II. The distance by car to the boulevard and the popular beach El Arenal of Javea is less than 12 minutes from our house. It is a cozy coastline with palm trees, restaurants, terraces with a wide beach on a heavenly blue sea. El Arenal is no more than 25 minutes by bike.

The old and sympathetic center of Javea and its nice Spanish streets, restaurants and beautiful church and with its extensive clothing and food market on Thursday mornings is a 15-minute drive away and also less than a 20-minute drive away are the beaches, boulevard with many restaurants, cafes and the harbor of the beautiful town of Moraira, with a great market on Friday morning, in the large parking lot when entering the town, with the tastiest grilled chicken.

Denia and its beautiful wide beaches are a 40 minute drive from us and Jalon with its separate Saturday morning flea market is a 30 minute drive. In short, we are right in the middle of beautiful towns, beach life, urbanizations and everything surrounded by hills and forests.  So after a full day on the beaches, terraces and/or markets, it is wonderful to chill out on our terrace with its beautiful view after first taking a refreshing dip in the 10 x 5 meter pool.
The beautiful golf course is 5 minutes from our villa.

From our house there are hiking trails over the hills with vines (a beautiful wine farm with terrace and small restaurant a 10-minute walk away), forests and beautiful views with the highlight being the view of the mountain Montgo (the resting elephant with a long trunk) against which Javea with all its neighborhoods and houses basks itself.

We look out on Benitachell, also called, Poble nou de Benitatxell, Costa Blanca. The town centre of Benitachell is inland, but the municipal territory also includes 2 kilometres of coastline on the Mediterranean Sea. Its territory is about 12 square kilometers and is mountainous, with large and abrupt cliffs between which coves emerge with crystal clear waters. Cumbre del Sol is the largest urbanization that pays a lot of attention to tourism.

The cliffs are spectacular and the viewpoints from which you can admire the most beautiful sea views of the Costa Blanca will leave an indelible impression on you. The coves, Cala de los Tiestos, Cala del Llebeig, Playa de la Granadella and Playa del Moraig beach are ideal for sunbathing, underwater sports and swimming. On the beach itself is the Cova dels Arcs cave, an impressive cave with an underwater route.

Benitachell has a festive culture that preserves its origins and traditions. From parades and processions to concerts and children's activities. The many restaurants like Beniasia, sometimes simple but very hospitable, are a stone's throw from our house.

Within walking distance is the beautiful Montesanco wine farm. In the middle of the young vines lies this sympathetic building with friendly owners where we can advise you a wine tasting. Outside you can enjoy good wines and the beautiful view.

On the ground floor of our villa there are two bedrooms with a bathroom adjacent to the spacious hall. On the first floor is a spacious double room with bathroom, large balcony and sitting area. The villa exudes a nostalgic but also a modern atmosphere. The living room is bright with large windows, comfortable sofas, a new smart TV and dining areas and the covered terrace with seating and large dining table is adjacent to it. In and around the house are all kinds of seating areas and sun beds where everyone can retreat with a book or their mobile phone. The kitchen contains everything you could possibly need and we believe you will have a wonderful holiday here.

We are Gert Wajer and Tjakina Boomstra. We have been in a relationship since 2019. Tjakina didn't like her hometown of Amsterdam anymore and left for the quiet, beautiful Veluwe. There she met Gert, the owner of a recreation park. Tjakina used to have a hotel in the Belgian Ardennes and Gert was an Occupational Therapist, Head of a Rehabilitation Center and Municipal Advisor. We like to travel with our dogs in our motorhome and have fallen in love with the area of Javea, Benitachell and Moraira.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

If the tenant wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the tenant must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

  • cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
  • Cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 10% of the rental price
  • Cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
  • cancellation between the 29th and the 15th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
  • cancellation less than 15 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, he will continue to owe the full rent.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

Restaurants in Benitachell that we can recommend: Beniasia (great food and a cozy conservatory) Antiquary (Italian restaurant with tasty spaghetti carbonara and tasty pizzas) Claudia: nice for a nice drink. In the main street there is a restaurant in a cove, looks mediocre, but the fish is fresh.
Javea: Le Gourmand, Bacchus, the Wok, Kathmandu, Casa Lilli (Thai prawns are top notch), all good restaurants. On the boulevard of El Arenal: La Fontana, The Bohemian, La Bambula (must have been, at the end of the boulevard, hip, nice music and tasty snacks) are owned by an owner. Good kitchen, excellent service, beautiful view over the beach and sea.
The Ale Hop shop, the latest gadgets, fun gadgets, cute shop.
Jakarta for your bijoux and the Chinese Bazar is unique to browse. There are as many as 10 large Chinese Bazars in the area. At least in Benitachell next to the MasyMas (good supermarket where you can get evaporated milk). These bazaars are huge and you can get all kinds of things, worth entering.
From hotel El Parador you can take a walk to the port of Javea. Along the beach rocks to café La Esquina for a drink. There are also all kinds of nice restaurants.
Moraira also has a nice boulevard and harbor with a small cozy beach.
You can walk directly behind our house to a wine farm in the middle of the vines. It's a good place to be and their wines are delicious. Lovely people who run it and good service. A wine tasting is recommended. You can only get some tapas. Past this Monte Sanco winery, a road runs through a grove, steeply uphill. Over the old landfill you keep walking straight ahead and climb a lot. Next, you will come to a tarmac road that will take you to the Les fonts urbanization. It's a tough hike but beautiful views. You can also go hiking at Cumbre del Sol and in the Montgo Natural Park. From Benitachell, near the Town Hall, a walk starts towards Calistro and Cumbre del Sol.
Don't forget to go to Jalon to the flea market on Saturday morning. Next to the Bodega is a nice tent with live music. Sometimes very good musicians.
We recommend visiting the towns of Jesus Pobre, Altea, Calpe, Moraira and Denia.
