Casa Cielo Azul

The villa is ideally located for those who love the sea, but also the peace and nature in the mountains. You have all the privacy and comfort, without any insight from neighbors or resident caretaker or owner. The spacious finca stands alone on a private domain of 10,000 m². Yet the house is easily accessible. Alicante airport (where you can easily rent a car) is about half an hour's drive.

There is a spacious parking lot in front of the house. The house is surrounded by terraces and a beautiful subtropical garden. There are terraces around the swimming pool, some of which are covered. There is an outdoor shower in a bathroom with toilet, directly accessible for those staying outside. Through the antique front door you enter a spacious hall under the typical Valencian tower. On the right there are 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, each with a toilet. If you go left, up some stairs, you enter the spacious living room. Thanks to the double floor-to-ceiling windows, it is light and airy. You have access to a covered lounge through a glass exterior door. There is also an outside staircase to the tower room. A few steps higher there is a platform with a dining table that connects to a spacious, fully equipped kitchen. You will also find a storage room and the fourth bedroom on this level. All windows in the house are equipped with fly screens that keep annoying insects out. There are also roller shutters everywhere so that it stays nice and cool inside during the day and is well dark, for those who like to sleep in the dark.

The house is located in beautiful nature between Jijona (Xixona in Valencian style) and Tibi. You reach the house along a winding, but easily accessible road in the green valley of the Monnegre river. In the typical Spanish town of Jijona (5 km) you will find all amenities: department stores, bakery, butcher, bank, post, restaurant, bar, etc. Jijona is known in Spain for the production of Turron (Spanish nougat). You can visit the Museums del Torro about the history of Turron production in the region. If you would like to swim laps in an Olympic swimming pool or if the children would like to have fun in a larger children's pool, we can recommend the beautiful public swimming pool. On the way to El Campello you can visit the Cova del Canelobre (caves). In Tibi (6 km) you can experience a typical local market every Saturday morning. Hikers can connect to marked hiking trails in Tibi or Jijona. Or you can plan your own route to the nearby Tibi reservoir, which is located just over the mountain from our house. It is no coincidence that many professional cycling teams choose Alicante in the spring as a base for their winter and spring training. They come not only for the sunny climate but also for the excellent cycling roads in the area with both mountain and flat stages. As a cycling amateur you will certainly get your money's worth here. From the terrace of our house you have a bird's-eye view of the popular seaside resort of El Campello, about 20 kilometers away. This place is a lot smaller than nearby Alicante, but thanks to its beautiful beach, pleasant boulevard with shops and restaurants, clean air and Mediterranean cuisine, it is very popular among both Spanish and foreign tourists. Enjoy everything the Costa Blanca has to offer here! But the city of Alicante is also definitely worth a trip. You can combine the beach with cozy beach pavilions with a beautiful historic city center, a castle (accessible by elevator) and modern shopping streets. Everything within walking distance. By car you can relive the history of the province of Alicante on the Ruta de los Castillos (castle route). Also inland near Benidorm you will find Guadelest, a popular Spanish mountain village with shops, a castle and a fascinating museum. A little further away but still easily accessible by car, you can visit the popular seaside resorts of Benidorm (50 km), Calpe (68 km), Torrevieja (90 km) or Denia (95 km). For those looking for culture or history: Murcia (100 km), Valencia (140 km) or Cartagena (140 km) are still within reach.
