It is the perfect base for a holiday in the Sierra de Guara National Park, an oasis of calm. From the house you can walk straight into the mountains for beautiful hikes through the gorge, past tranquil villages and caves with ancient petroglyphs.

This historic setting is contemporary enjoy A CASA. The house can accommodate up to six people and is furnished with modern design furniture and a luxury Bulthaup kitchen. Around the house and garden terrace offer plenty of space to eat together and enjoy the view. The local swimming pool is a stone's throw away.

On the ground floor is a large living room with two sitting areas, a fireplace, a fully equipped luxury Bulthaupkeuken and a sofa bed for two additional people.
Furthermore, a bathroom with tub and shower and a separate toilet and a spacious terrace with morning sun and a magnificent view of Alquézar.

On the upper floor there are three double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and separate toilet.
Furthermore, access to a 2nd terrace, situated behind the house, and the garden.

Welcome to the page of A CASA, a comfortable home. Spacious, modern and sleek and located in a charming and authentic setting. This combination makes me always happy when I'm in A CASA, a house that I have built with passion and decorated. Alquezar not soon forget the beauty and atmosphere. Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The rates are for the house when used with a maximum of 5 people;
The changeover day in high season is Saturday;
Also available outside the high season for periods of at least 3 nights;
Prices include final cleaning, electricity, use of bed linen and towels, firewood, Satellite TV, WIFI (use of your own laptop);
(Dutch) walking routes, documentation and maps;
Smoking and pets are not allowed in the house;
The payment and rental conditions are available on request.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel up to two weeks before the rental period, 50% of the prepaid amount (25% of the rental price) will be charged.
If you cancel two weeks to one week before the rental period, the entire prepaid amount (50% of the rental price) will be charged.
If you cancel in the week before the rental period or if the guest does not show up, the entire rental price will be charged.
We advise you to take out cancellation insurance.

Alquézar is a picturesque medieval fortified town with a 1200 year old history, built around an Arab castle from the 9th century. It is located on a hilltop on the edge of the gorge of the Rio Vero. The village is beautifully restored preserving the medieval character and Colegiata de Santa Maria la Mayor is well worth a visit. The village is known for its typical architecture and winding streets and alleys. The houses blend perfectly into the landscape, because they are built with materials from the region: stone, earth and wood. Some streets are covered, the so-called. "Callizos" a beloved shady spot where locals meet for a chat. Alquézar is a lively village with about 150 permanent residents. Open all year round by the village shop and bakery are. There is always a bar or restaurant open. That makes it in the winter, when the weather is wonderful walking to a pleasant stay. In the summer, weekends and public holidays around the Hustle. There are many restaurants and terraces available and also open more shops.

Alquezar is the center of the National Park Sierra de Guara y cañyones, a promontory of the Spanish Pyrenees. The area consists of a jagged limestone mountains, cut by deep gorges with clear rivers and cliffs that rise up dozens of meters. The highest peak is the Guara (2077 m). Bird - and nature lovers will find a quiet and calm nature with a great variety of birds and plants. Walk from the village there are many walking routes. You have a wide choice of short and long trips, mostly well marked. Inside the house is a documentation of various routes available, which start some directly from the house. From Alquézar example, you descend into the canyon of the Río Vero. A must is the "Ruta de las pasarellas' where you walk right into the gap above the Río Vero on metal bridges along the rocks. The climb back is not too steep a field with old olive trees. You can also explore the mountains, visit caves with ancient petroglyphs and enjoy the view of the snowy Pyrenees. The near "the Balsas Basacol in the summer months are a great place to cool off. There is also the possibility to book a tour with guidance in the (Dutch) nature and bird guide in the village. In Alquézar you will find a wide range of restaurants, cafes and delicatessens shops. The local restaurants serve include the local Aragon. From simple to sophisticated, in all price ranges. For larger shopping and a great choice of shops you can go to Barbastro, a pleasant town 20 minutes away. Along the way you drive through vineyards and you can visit one of the wineries for a Somontano wine tasting. Lovers of pure cuisine can indulge in a rich range of local produce.
