Looking for nature, culture, history, sun, beautiful views, and privacy in a quiet, easily accessible location and a short distance from lively locations? Casa La Naranjera is within walking distance of the white villages of Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta, half an hour's drive from the coast.
It is a beautiful, spacious, modern, luxurious, detached villa for 8 people in the Axarquía region, with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, superbly equipped kitchen, comfortable long beds and mosquito nets throughout.
Away from mass tourism, this holiday home offers beautiful views of the impressive mountain ranges, the hilly landscape, the white villages, the Mediterranean Sea and the coast of Africa.
Located in a mature garden with nice terraces, greenery, flowers and with a private swimming pool with beautiful shower.
Quiet location with lots of privacy, near the Sierras de Tejeda National Park, Almijara y Alhama (hiking, cycling, bird watching etc). The park is a natural border between the provinces of Málaga and Granada.
The detached villa is quietly located at the end of a road with no through traffic. Unlike many holiday homes in this area, the entire access road is paved. A short steep (paved) part down takes you to the villa.
* We have renovated and furnished our villa with love and care. We therefore want to rent the villa exclusively to people who are willing to treat our properties with respect. By booking with us, you indicate that you have that willingness and that you will act accordingly.
Smoking in the villa and on the plot is prohibited, pets are not allowed and we do not accept groups of young adults.
THE COTTAGE:
The villa is approximately 145 m2 and consists of:
- An entrance (security door) with coat rack.
- A bright sitting/bedroom.
- Large modern kitchen with granite countertops, dishwasher, double sink, 5-burner gas stove, extractor hood, electric oven, large fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, toaster etc. and table for 4 people.
- Dining area with table for 8 people.
- Spacious living room with wood stove, comfortable seating, flat screen satellite television with a.o. Dutch channels, DVD player, CD player, iPod docking station.
- Hall to 3 bedrooms and the bathrooms.
- A total of 4 bedrooms (2 with large double bed, 2 with 2 single beds), all with comfortable mattresses; The mattresses in the king-size bed in the master bedroom are 2.10m long (!), the other mattresses are 2m long. Duvets provided.
- 2 modern bathrooms (1 en suite) with shower cubicles, sinks, bidet and toilets.
The villa is on one level (bungalow); There are no stairs.
EXTRAS:
* Free wireless internet.
* The main areas (living room/dining area/kitchen, master bedroom, sitting/bedroom) have air conditioning units for heat in winter and coolness in summer. Fans also provided. There are electric radiators throughout for cold times and in the lounge is a large wood burning fireplace. The house is therefore suitable for wintering (energy surcharge).
* The windows have shutters, bars and mosquito nets. All windows are double glazed.
* There are spacious fitted wardrobes and there is plenty of storage space.
* There are (board) games and reading books available in different languages.
* Smoke detectors installed.
* Outside there is a laundry/storage room with the washing machine.
THE PLOT:
The whole is oriented to the south.
There is a large covered porch that leads to the terracotta-tiled terraces, where you can relax and sunbathe with lots of privacy. Enjoy the amazing sunsets here! There is garden furniture and sunbeds. There is a lovely, tiled barbecue.
The tiled private swimming pool is 7 by 3 meters (be careful with children!), not counting the beautiful staircase. There is a beautiful outdoor shower. The pool is NOT fenced, so be alert with small children. Behind the south wall it is a lot lower - do not walk or hang on that wall! The pool can be used from about May to mid-October (in winter the pool is usually empty).
The garden is green all year round due to the irrigation system. You will find a mandarin tree, a lemon and an orange tree and even a 200-year-old olive tree. The surrounding plots are also full of orange trees, avocados, olive trees, among others. Irresistible!
The plot is fenced, with a fence at the entrance. There is parking for two cars.

The entrance gate must always be locked.
Smoking and pets are not allowed.
Due to Andalusian legislation, all guests over the age of 16 must provide us with personal details and passport details in a timely manner at our request.
