El Aguila Libre

This cozy apartment is located near the picturesque village of Alfarnatejo, in the north of the beautiful region of Axarquia, province of Málaga.  It is on the ground floor and has its own entrance and a private terrace with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The apartment is part of an old farmhouse (cortijo in Spanish) and is located in the back of the farmhouse.

The apartment is suitable for 2 people and has a living/dining room, separate bedroom, bathroom with walk-in shower and a small open kitchen.
For the cold winter months there is a pellet stove and in the summer the apartment stays cool due to the thick outer walls. The private terrace is sheltered and part of the garden that you share with the owners. 
You can take many walks in the area, ask us for tips. It is also a very good base for all kinds of day trips.

The sandy beaches of the Costa del Sol can be reached in 40 minutes by car, Granada in about 50 minutes by car and Cordoba in about 1.5 hours. Alfarnatejo, which is 2 km away, has a restaurant that offers good daily menus. It is an authentic Andalusian white village with proud residents who love to see tourists. In the months of July and August , the public swimming pool is open, which is beautifully situated among the surrounding mountains.
In the village you will find a small supermarket for the basic necessities. Larger groceries can be done in Alfarnate (7 minutes by car) or in Colmernar (15 minutes by car) where a larger selection can be found.
Málaga airport is about 45 minutes by car.
