Additional information

Just over 4 km from Timber cottage, in the middle of Serra d’Arga, lies one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the North of Portugal. We are talking about the idyllic Cascata do Pincho, the name by which the Ferida Má Cascades are known, a succession of waterfalls and paradisiacal lagoons formed by the crystal clear waters of the Âncora River.

Café Caçana Caçana is one of those local cafes that seems to fit an entire village. If a tavern is the equivalent of a simple, laid-back, affordable restaurant with food reminiscent of our mother's, then Caçana is the true example: familiar, cheap and full of unique snacks. Here there are other variables to take into account, such as the mountainous landscape that surrounds it, and a terrace with a privileged view of the mountain.

Also known as Mariana Beach after the restaurant here, Arda or Bico Beach is one of the best in the country for surfing and bodyboarding and thus brings in a younger crowd.
The large sandy expanse of this beach is framed by a landscape of great natural beauty, surrounded by a long cordon of dunes, sporadically splashed with rich, green bursts of vegetation.
