Holiday homes in Nazaré
Nazaré is located right in the middle of the Portuguese coastline on the
Costa de Prata, more than 100 kilometres north of
Lisbon. This former fishing village has grown into a popular seaside resort, with a lovely sickle-shaped beach that stands out beautifully against the azure blue ocean. Nazaré is known for ‘Praia Norte’, a world-famous stretch of the coast where there are metre-high waves. It’s no surprise that surfers from all over the world come to Nazaré to conquer these waves. Would you prefer a quiet swim and some sunbathing? No problem at all. A bit further down, you’ll find the child-friendly beach of
São Martinho do Porto. This charming town is located on a beautiful bay with wonderful rippling water, and the wide sandy beach is especially popular with families with children.
Exploring Nazaré and the surrounding area
Whether you like water sports or just want to relax, a holiday home in Nazaré is a good choice for young and old. It’s a great place to be, with a few nice boutiques, restaurants and lovely cafes, so there are plenty of options for shopping and going out. From Nazaré, you can also go on nice outings and daytrips in the area. Visit the town of Fátima, for example, one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in Europe after Lourdes in
France. We also highly recommend the medieval town of Óbidos, with an impressive castle that has been named one of the ‘Seven Wonders of
Portugal’. This is also a great place if you like playing golf because there is a luxury
beauty & spa and golf course all in one.
