Quinta Japonesa is a holiday spot on 3600m2 in a beautiful and quiet valley with heated pool and a large zen garden. There are 4 accommodations (2 apartments and 2 safari tents) on the main site and another 2 (holiday home and safari tent) on the upper terrain at the top of the hill. Each accommodation has its own entrance and private parking. Quinta Japonesa is centrally located on the Costa de Prata. Lisbon and Coimbra can be reached in 1 hour and 15 minutes. And in between are fantastic sights to visit. Also the beach is only 20 minutes drive away from Quinta Japonesa. And what do you think of the delicious restaurants in the neighborhood. In short, a holiday residence where everyone from all ages to enjoy.

Casa Antiga is an attractive cottage-apartment for 4 people. Because of its location you experience a lot of privacy, peace and space, with only green nature around you.
Casa Antiga has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and a living / dining room with kitchenette, a sitting area with fireplace and a large terrace with views over the front garden with pond and the valley. The terrace has a lounge set, sun loungers and a dining table with adjustable chairs and a large parasol. Casa Antiga has electric radiators and is therefore also suitable for autumn / winter.

We would like to familiarize you with this beautiful part of Portugal, between Lisbon and Coimbra, only 20 minutes from the coast. Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE*
WIFI, heated pool, parking, towels (change of towels will take place mid-week.) bed linen, kitchen linen, bed making.

PAYMENT
We ask for a deposit of 50% of the total sum with a minimum of 100 euros to be paid within 1 week after the booking to finalize the booking.
The remaining amount can be transferred up to 2 months before the stay.

CANCELLATION
When cancelling the booking, the costs up to 60 days before the stay are 35 euros, being the reservation costs. If you cancel between 60 and 30 days before the stay, the costs are 25% of the rental costs.
In case of cancellation between 30 and 20 days before the stay, the costs are 50% of the rental costs.
If you cancel between 20 and 10 days before the stay, the costs are 75% of the rental costs.
If canceled within 10 days before the stay, the costs are 100% of the rental costs.

-Sao Martinho do Porto 30 min (calm sea, beach, promenade, eating / drinking, hiking, biking, shopping).

-Bombarral (Buddha Buddhist eden park, most of europe, wine quinta Sanguinhal, food / drink).

-Eilanden/boottocht To Berlengas, beautiful nature (boating, hiking, food / drink and beach) just half an hour by boat from Peniche to book through Quinta Japonesa.
Qigong-Training, a kinematics with gentle movements such as tai chi to come into balance, private lessons / group / training tours are given at Quinta Japonesa. Again completely

For many years we are very interested in everything that has to do with Japan. Bert likes to read about the period of the first Dutch in Japan. Our house in the Netherlands also had Japanese decorations. Coincidentally, Portugal and Japan also had a bond many centuries ago. The first contact took place in 1542 when three Portuguese landed after their boat had fallen off course. On April 19, 1600 the Dutch ship "De Liefde" landed with only 25 men on the coast of Japan. Since then, the Dutch have maintained (trade) relations with Japan, even in the period when Japan completely shut itself off from the rest of the world. From 1641, the VOC had a post on the artificial island of Deshima and was the only foreign authority that was allowed to trade with the Japanese for 250 years. Our interest in Japan and the ties that both Portugal and the Netherlands have made with that made us choose the name Quinta Japonesa. As you can see on the pictures, we have not rebuilt the Quinta on the outside in Japanese style, but in keeping with the houses in the region. Inside we have several Japanese features in the apartments. There is also a Japanese-style garden with torii gate, pond, waterfall, stone bridge, wooden bridge, stone staircase, pagoda and a fantastic view over the valley. We also have two glamping accommodations on our property and a detached holiday home at the top of the hill and another glamping accommodation.
