I rent out my tastefully furnished upstairs apartment in the middle of the center. The large roof terrace offers an unobstructed view over the sun-drenched eastern Algarve with the sea in the distance!

Your home away from home
My Casa Sandrinha is located on a quiet street with hardly any local traffic. A house renovated with high-quality materials with two bedrooms (each with a large double bed and fitted wardrobes), a living room with two small balconies, a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom with walk-in shower.
On the roof terrace of approximately 45 m2 with several seating areas you can enjoy the beautiful view of the coast between Faro and Olhão.

Location, location, location
A one-minute walk to the square Largo Ossónoba, surrounded by Jacaranda trees, for a 'galão' (latte) with a pastel de nata at Pastelaria Silvestre - there's no better way to start your day!
Then you walk to the impressive Pálacio de Estoi with its lush palace gardens full of neo-Baroque fountains and walls with azulejos (typical Portuguese tilework).

Would you rather go to the beach? Praia de Faro can be reached within 15 minutes by car. Due to its central location, from Estoi you can reach the nicest towns of the Eastern Algarve in no time, such as Olhão (9 km), Sāo Brás de Alportel (10 km), Fuseta (17 km), Loulé (19 km) and Tavira ( 30 km).

Bird watchers, walkers and cyclists can enjoy themselves in the nearby Ria Formosa nature reserve, including flamingos and salt fields.

Fancy a day of hard core shopping? Via the A22 motorway you can reach MAR Shopping with its Designer Outlet in 13 minutes.

Estoi
Famous for its palace and its Roman excavation of Milreu, Estoi has everything you would expect from a typical Algarvian village. Photogenic squares, picturesque churches, narrow streets with old houses with the chimneys so characteristic of this region and some shops.
Don't expect hip restaurants, time seems to have stood still here. Just 10 km from busy tourist Faro, you can completely relax here after a day at the beach or sightseeing. The best of both worlds!

Ola, I'm Sandra and together with my dog Bobby I settled in Estoi, in the eastern Algarve, in June 2023. I said goodbye to my job as editor-in-chief of TV programs, sold my house in the Netherlands, bought a camper van and then we started a road trip to Portugal. Goal: time. to buy a house in the country where I had lived and worked more than 35 years ago. We succeeded! I hope you enjoy my Casa Sandrinha as much as I do!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Casa Sandrinha can only be rented in the summer months, in the other months I live there myself, together with my four-legged friend Bobby.

The minimum rental is 5 nights. Check in after 15.00 hrs, check out before 10.00 hrs. Rent includes linen (sheets, towels and tea towels), wifi, smart TV, air conditioning and cleaning costs.

A deposit of 25% of the total cost of the stay plus the deposit of €500 must be paid at the start of the reservation.

The remaining amount must be transferred no later than 1 week before the start of the rental period.

The deposit will be refunded no later than 1 week after departure if no damage is found. If more than €25 pw of air conditioning has been used, the extra electricity costs will be deducted from the deposit.

The house is rented to a maximum of 4 people, pets are unfortunately not allowed as well as (indoor) smoking.

Cancellation policy
If the renter wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the renter must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
Cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
Cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, he will continue to owe the full rent.
