Casinha Formosa

Casinha Formosa is a lovely house, a renovated “Quinta” (a typical Portuguese farmhouse) with a beautiful new private swimming pool. It still has that real old-fashioned, cozy atmosphere, but with all modern conveniences. The quinta is named after the nearby natural park Ria Formosa with the wonderfully beautiful lagoons and extensive beaches on the islands off the coast. The house is conveniently located near the beautiful coast in the Eastern Algarve, south of the town of Moncarapacho, and only 2 kilometers from Fuseta and the beach. Fascinating towns such as Olhão and Tavira are also very easy to reach.

Casinha Formosa is located in a rural, intimate landscape with complete privacy. The entrance hall welcomes you in the atmosphere of tradition. There is a living room with a spacious sitting area. In addition, there is a separate dining room with a nice large dining table for cozy long dining. The kitchen is new, fully equipped, including an induction hob and dishwasher, and completely in the country style of the house and the surrounding area. On the ground floor is 1 suite, a very spacious bedroom with a double bed and a sitting area. There is an en-suite shower room. From the bedroom you have access to the terrace that runs around the house.

From the kitchen a staircase leads to the first floor, where you have a large landing and access to 2 bedrooms. One bedroom is spacious, with a double bed and a sitting area. There is an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath / shower. An outside door leads to a balcony, from which you can see the ocean in the distance. The third bedroom in the house is a somewhat smaller room with 2 single beds. From the landing on the first floor you can reach the roof terrace through a small passage. A lovely terrace for the balmy summer evenings or to enjoy some hours of winter sun. You have a view of the rolling countryside and the ocean.

Casinha Formosa is nice and cool in the hot summer months, but there is air conditioning for extra coolness. There is a terrace around the house where you can spend wonderful relaxing hours. The newly built private pool invites you to take a refreshing dip. Or you can relax on one of the sun beds on the sun terrace. Casinha Formosa is very easy to reach, from the airport in Faro it is only half an hour's drive. By car you are very quickly at the beautiful beaches, the fascinating coastal towns such as Fuseta, Olhão and Tavira, but you can also explore the beautiful interior of the Algarve, where time sometimes seems to have stood still.

A nice day trip to world cities such as Lisbon or Seville is a great option.
If you prefer to leave the car behind as much as possible, you can explore the area by bike or cycle to the beach. But you can also take a lovely walk through the countryside or along the beach. Casinha Formosa offers atmosphere, tranquility and space, but with all facilities within reach.
