The cozy kitchen was renovated in 2023 and equipped with a dishwasher.

This is the master bedroom. The double bed is 1.60 wide and 2:00 long and is equipped with a mosquito net. The pocket spring mattress is very comfortable.

The second bedroom has two single beds 80 cm wide and 200 cm long and is equipped with a mosquito net.

The spacious bathroom has a shower, toilet and bidet. The mirror was ever bought at auction close.

In the middle space, located between the living room, bathroom and second bedroom, there is a TV/DVD, on which Dutch channels, among other things. There is also extra cupboard space, an ironing board and iron. Possibly. A (children's) bed can be added here, it is located on the mezzanine.

The sheepherder from the village of Arneiro passed the house from time to time. It was a joy to hear him talk on the slopes with his cattle and his dogs. Unfortunately, he retired in 2020.

Fresh bread rolls. Hang a plastic bag with a euro in it on the lamppost at the asphalt road 200 meters from the house and the next morning the baker has filled it with five delicious Portuguese rolls!

In Santa Margarida, just 1 km away, there is a shop for basic necessities. In café Nacer do Sol (sunrise) they serve a good bica (coffee). Since 2021, there has also been a restaurant Belo Horizonte, alternating between a Portuguese and a Polish meal.

With a bit of luck you can encounter this tortoise around the house. In the baragems (water reservoirs) near the house you will definitely see water turtles.

Hikers can enjoy their stay here. In the bookcase in the living room you will find information for trips in the area and to the beach. There you can also find information on hikes.

In the picturesque town of Alte, 3 km away, you will find supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. It is a great destination for walkers.

Before Olhao (and Faro) is the Ria Formosa Natural Park with a 3 km walk through the bird-rich coastal area. By the time the tide is high you can watch the shell seekers return from the mudflats with the catch of that day which can be tasted in the evening in the many restaurants in the area.

Grafitti is encouraged in Olhao. This abandoned villa is a wonderful example.

For the more experienced hikers there is the Via Algarviana (GR13) that the Spanish border in the east of the Algarve is the most westerly point. Alte, 3 km away from Terra Boa is one of the stops.

Beautiful is the 5 km long walk "Rocha da Pena", a protected area with beautiful views at the top. Along the route in the town of Rocha a bar. The walk is about 15 minutes from Terra Boa.

Goat, sheep and cow cheeses are found in many types on the market of Loulé. And do not forget the presunto (raw and smoked ham).

On Saturday morning there is a large market in Loule, a must. In and around the historic covered market hall there are countless stalls where some local farmers also display their wares. In the photo the excellent stall with shellfish and crustaceans.

Silves, a 30-minute drive away, is a historic town whose history dates back to the time of the Moors. The walled old town and strategically located castle are worth a visit. Against the walls of the castle is Cafe Ingles where the Sunday lunch with live music is very popular.

And of course the fantastic beaches of the Algarve at 30 to 45 minutes by car from Boa Terra.
