'Zomerzoen' was built in 2020 and stands next to its larger neighbour, our holiday home 'Zomerzotheid'. The wooden house of ~50m2 is perfectly equipped for a couple or a family with 1 or 2 children. A lovely quiet and sunny place, 450 meters from the beach and the forest!
The cottage has a bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with bunk beds. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped. There is also a separate toilet, a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine/dryer. There is a TV in the sitting area and of course you have access to excellent WiFi.
The garden of the house is enclosed by a fence and offers a lot of privacy. In front of the cottage is a large terrace with a dining table. There is also a seat for coffee, tea or drinks. On the other side of the garden you will find a small open gazebo where you can have breakfast in the morning sun. You can sit here in the shade for the rest of the day. There is also an old boat / sandpit in the corner of the garden for the children and there are two comfortable sun loungers to read a book under the parasol.
Around the corner is a small supermarket where you can get fresh rolls and croissants in the morning (only in high season) or do a quick shopping. There are also a number of restaurants on the same square, including a pizzeria with takeaway options; very easy if you arrive late on Friday. A large Albert Heijn is a 10-minute drive away.
From the cottage you can walk to the beach or the forest in 5 minutes. The head of Schouwen consists of beautiful wide beaches, a vast dune landscape and the largest forest in Zeeland. From "Zomerzoen" everything is within walking distance.
All in all, an ideal base for a wonderful beach holiday or a long weekend in autumn or winter!
