Fun facts if you choose a holiday home on the Veluwe:
- Large parts of the Veluwe consist of lateral moraines: landmasses that were formed by the movement of the ice that then covered parts of Europe. These features were created in the last-but-one Ice Age, the Saalien era, around 150,000 years ago.
- In 2019, wolves were spotted once again on the Veluwe, for the first time in around 150 years.
- With only 15.2 inhabitants per km², the Veluwe is exceptionally sparsely populated by Dutch standards.
