Cottage in the Green is a detached house on the edge of the Green Heart. It is close to The Hague and Rotterdam and fifteen minutes further from Amsterdam and Utrecht. Famous cities such as Delft, Gouda and Leiden can be reached by bike. There are several cycling and walking areas in the immediate vicinity. Water sports enthusiasts can drive to the Rottemeren (public boat ramp at 7 km) in 5 minutes and golfers in the same time to one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Netherlands. There are train and bus stations, and the nearest shopping centre is 2 km away.
The garden that surrounds the house is located on a canal. Also because of the fairly steep stairs and the absence of a balustrade, we have decided not to allow children under the age of 12.
What you get
You will have access to a fully furnished home. Downstairs is the entrance, the technical room with a washing machine, the toilet/bathroom and the bedroom. The bedroom (15m2) has a double bed, but on request we can make it into two single beds. From the bedroom you can go to a covered terrace. The bathroom has a toilet, a sink with chest of drawers and a shower.
The upper floor consists of a one large T-shaped room with a sitting area, a dining area and a kitchen. In the sitting area there is a TV set and a small desk. There is WIFI. The kitchen has a secure two-burner gas stove and all common appliances and amenities. Coffee, tea, sugar, salt, spices, oil and vinegar are part of the kitchen equipment. From the kitchen you can go to the sun terrace (15 m2).
The house is centrally heated and there is an air conditioner for the upper floor. The bedroom stays cool in summer thanks to the adjoining terrace enclosure.
Next to the entrance there is the lockable bicycle shed. There are two free bicycles for the guests, but they can also park and charge their own bicycles if necessary.
There is plenty of free parking space. The private wallbox (3.7 A) allows you to charge an electric vehicle at night at a common rate.
