The bocage landscape of North-East Twente offers beautiful nature, walking and cycling routes, both in the Netherlands and the adjacent Münsterland (Bad Bentheim Castle).

The historic art town of Ootmarsum, the Stift in Weerselo and the Singraven estate are in the immediate vicinity, as well as Oldenzaal and its centuries-old Pechelmus basilica.
