Huisje in 't Groen has a forest garden of over 1200 m2 directly adjacent to the Buurserbeek in the countryside south of Haaksbergen (Honesch). From the house and the garden you have an unobstructed view of the stream, the surrounding fields and the forest. And you can walk or cycle towards the many nature reserves in the area (including Het Lankheet, Haaksbergerveen, Buurserzand, Witte Veen) from this nature house, there are also a number of special ATB routes in the immediate vicinity and directly on/across the border with Germany the landscape becomes hilly. You can walk to the oldest double watermill in the Netherlands in less than 10 minutes.
The village of Haaksbergen with all basic facilities (supermarkets, drugstore, bakery, various restaurants, tourist information center, etc.) can be found less than 4 km away.
From the garden you have direct access to the Buurserbeek, biijv. for swimming or a bit of sailing with kayak (available at the house) or SUP.
In the spring of 2023, we renovated the inside of the holiday home and redecorated it with a mix of new and retro furniture, for a wonderfully relaxing holiday in the greenery where you can enjoy panoramic views and be woken up by bird sounds.
The house has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed with box spring mattresses and an en suite bathroom with spacious walk-in shower and sink. The other bedroom has a custom-made bunk bed.
An open kitchen is adjacent to the living room, which is fully equipped.
In the living room is a gas heater, for the chilly days and evenings. In the sitting area there is a spacious corner sofa near the TV (chromecast; fiber optic).
In the garden room/conservatory (with patio doors to the garden) there is a long dining table, where you can dine extensively while enjoying the fantastic view or the setting sun.
There is a lockable garage where you can store and charge your (E-)bike.
In the forest garden there is (for children) a trampoline and a swing. And under the carport you will find a (movable) lounge garden set and sunbeds, which you can also place elsewhere in the garden. There is also a barbecue (charcoal) and a fire pit (wood is ready in the woodshed).
