Welcome to our atmospheric, authentic 6-person holiday home. The thatched house is quietly situated on a walking path, within walking distance of restaurants and shops. On a spacious piece of private land (440 m2) with two large terraces, surrounded by greenery.

The downstairs bedroom has a double Auping bed (suitable for tall people). The large bedroom upstairs has a double bed (140 x 200) and a single bed, the small one has a single bed. The spacious living room has everything you need to relax. Read a book, watch a series or play a game at the 6-person dining table. In the kitchen you will find all appliances plus Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, orange press, etc. The bathroom is compact, but complete. There is a modern bathroom furniture with washbasin, a mirror cabinet with lighting, a rain shower and a toilet.

In the sheltered and sunny garden you can listen to the chirping of the birds and enjoy the sun or the stars.

We are Martin and Pauline Zwart. Martin has been in Giethoorn since his childhood. We have also been coming there for years: sailing with the kids, sitting on a terrace, cycling. When we found this special place, with the authentic thatched cottage, it clicked immediately. It is a real family home. The past year we have worked hard to renew the house and make it even more beautiful, while retaining the authentic atmosphere. We are very happy with the result!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Cancellations must always be made by email. Cancellation up to 91 days before the start of the rental period is free of charge. If the tenant cancels between the 90th and 60th day before the start of the rental period, he owes 20% of the rental amount. If you cancel between the 59th and 30th day before the start of the rental period, this is 50%. If you cancel less than 30 days before the start of the rental period, 100% of the rental amount is due.
