Holiday home in Giethmen

The park
The comfortable holiday home (95 m2) is suitable for a maximum of 6 people and is located in a quiet location on the Giethmenseveld: a holiday park in the middle of an extensive forest, near the Lemelerberg in Overijssel.​

There is no extensive entertainment or a restaurant in the park. But the lack of that was precisely the reason for us to choose this place.

At the entrance to the park there is a tennis court and heated outdoor swimming pool (open mid-May - mid-September), a playground, bicycle and go-kart rental. There is also a small reception for freshly baked rolls and/or fresh eggs (order the day in advance).

The vacation home
The forest bungalow has a covered terrace and a cozy indoor and outdoor fireplace. The house is suitable for adults, solo adventurers and for people who want to work in peace for a week. But it is also a great place to be with children/teenagers who like to be outside (no youth groups). Our house
is surrounded by a small 700m2 of land with various seating areas. In the summer and dry periods it is nice if you also water the plants occasionally if you stay for a week :-) Without water otherwise there would be no colorful forest garden.

The house is for 'non-smokers'. Preferably no pets.

Bedrooms
The house has 3 bedrooms for 2 people each: Room 1: spacious double room with double bed - separate mattresses (90x210) and electrically adjustable. Wardrobe/chair.Room 2: Double room with 2 single beds that can be pulled apart (90x200). Wardrobe/chairRoom 3: small bedroom with a bunk bed (90x200) and workplace/desk with computer screen for working and office chair. The bunk bed has mattresses that adults can also lie on, but is more suitable for children (also in terms of 'seat height').

A sheet package is included in the price - towels are optional. You can bring your own or book this for €5 per person.

Washing machine/dryer are available and included if you wish to stay for a longer period.

Comfort
The house has an indoor and outdoor fireplace, central heating, double glazing and is insulated. It is also wonderful to stay here in winter.

Bathroom
The bathroom is simple, consists of a sink/mirror cabinet and a spacious lovely shower. At the beginning of 2023, it was completely 'upgraded and renovated/rebuilt' to modern standards.

The kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped: microwave, oven, 5-burner gas hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker (filter and Nespresso), hand blender, orange juicer, kettle, milk whisk, etc.
Basics such as salt, pepper, olive oil, washing up liquid, toilet paper are available and included.

WiFi/TV/Music
The house has free WiFi. This also makes working from home possible (there is a comfortable workplace including a monitor/keyboard and mouse).

Presence of chrome TV (streaming your own subscription), music system (Sonos) for playing Spotify, for example.

Misuse
There are 3 good bicycles included with the house. Brand Batavus and Gazelle. All with multiple gears. 2 women's bicycles and 1 men's bicycle.

Swimming pool/tennis court
From mid-May to mid-September you can swim in the park's heated open-air swimming pool. There is also a small children's pool.

​There is one hard court tennis court. Bring your own tennis equipment.

In and around the house/surroundings
The house is located in a quiet spot in the park. Our neighbors, but also the rest of the residents of 't Giethmenseveld, really appreciate their peace & privacy and we take that seriously with the rental of the house.

At the entrance of the park there is a playground, playing field, swimming pool, tennis and boules court where children can enjoy themselves. Screaming and jumping to your heart's content is no problem. But in and around the holiday home we ensure that the neighbors are not bothered by our tenants. Not everyone rents out their house in the park and we would like to remain nice neighbors :-)

You can discover the beautiful, varied nature that characterizes Ommen and the Vechtdal by cycling or walking directly from the house .

Restaurants/shops
As for the necessary facilities, you will find them 4 km away. distance to the first restaurants. Of course, there is a wide choice in Ommen itself (6 km), including supermarkets and other shops.

In principle, our bungalow is rented per week/weeks during the high season, with arrival/departure day on Friday from 3 p.m. Out of season a minimum stay of 3 nights applies. Exceptions to this can be discussed by email.
