We would like to welcome you near the city of Groningen in Het Torentje van Trips. Here you can watch the sun rise and set, with fantastic views over the surrounding green landscape. The Torentje van Trips is an old watermill that we have converted into luxurious heritage accommodation. You can spend the night here in our Bed & Breakfast.

There is a small lake with a beach within walking distance and there are several dining options in the area. The interior is luxurious and modern while retaining the characteristic elements. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The Torentje van Trips is suitable for couples, families (with children) and groups of up to 6 people.

The water tower is completely detached and is completely rented out. Around the high tower there is a spacious lawn with various terraces and sufficient private parking spaces. There are no other holiday homes in the vicinity. No pets are allowed in Het Torentje van Trips. Absolutely no (youth) parties are allowed in 'De Watertoren'.

My name is Derk and I rent out the Torentje van Trips near Groningen.

In recent years we have completely renovated this former polder mill. That was a fun project to do. It is great that we have been able to receive guests for a year now and receive completely positive reactions.

Of course I will be happy to answer all your questions. Both about De Watertoren and about fun activities in the area.

This is the back of Lakehouse Holland. Here you can clearly see that the house is right on the water. You can jump into the water from the jetty. There is also a bathing ladder if you prefer that.

The open kitchen is fully equipped. You will really want for nothing.
Enjoy a long time at the large dining table in the kitchen.
This living area is adjacent to the open kitchen, continues into an extra sitting area and gives access to the veranda.
On the covered veranda there is an opportunity to enjoy a good meal or to enjoy together. In addition to these seats, there is also a lounge sofa, gas heater and a hanging chair. The windows of the veranda can also be opened completely.
In the garden there is an extra large outdoor table where 12 people can eat. This is on the terrace on the water next to the veranda.
On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a patio door to the terrace with three lovely Ibiza chairs. This room is so spacious that the existing cot can be placed here.
This bed is together with another bed in a bedroom on the first floor.
This bedroom has 2 beds of 90 x 210 and this bedroom is on the first floor and has a French balcony.
On the 1st floor, 1 of the 4 bedrooms is suitable for 3 people.
The garden is on the water, but the edge is trimmed with a net and two gates.

The Zuidlaardermer, 100 meters from the Lakehouse across the water and about 2 km if you walk, cycle or go by car. It is a nature reserve where you will find beavers, otters and the most special birds such as Bearded Man • Bluethroat • Marsh Harrier • Little Grebe and Black Grebe.
