Between Stroe, Garderen and Voorthuizen on the edge of the Veluwe. Free access to the swimming pools of Recreation Park De IJsvogel. Daily from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The park is located on the territory of Voorthuizen (municipality of Barneveld). Within 1 km you can walk through the vast forests of the Veluwe. Great walking and cycling opportunities.

The chalet is located between Voorthuizen, Garderen and Stroe. It is a great place, especially for those seeking peace and quiet. Everything is more vibrant at the main entrance, with playgrounds, swimming pools, bowling alleys, snack bar, restaurant, etc. For walkers and cyclists it is a nice central starting point, towards Apeldoorn through the woods and over the heath or towards Amersfoort along the many meadows. Nijkerk, Putten and Barneveld are also easy to cycle to. There are also museums in the nearby area.

Almost from the very beginning of the Sophia Hoeve, we have been proud owners of a holiday bungalow in this part of the park of Recreatielandgoed De IJsvogel. We have been renting this house for many years and like to come to the park ourselves. It is always great to hear that the tenants think this is such a great place.
We ourselves live in the province of Utrecht. Our children also regularly go to Voorthuizen, especially the swimming pool is an attraction. Bye? John & Rick.
