Between Stroe, Garderen and Voorthuizen on the edge of the Veluwe. Free access to the swimming pools of Recreation Park De IJsvogel. Daily from 10:00-16:30. The park is located on the territory of Voorthuizen (municipality of Barneveld). Within 1km you can walk in the vast forests of the Veluwe. Great walking and cycling opportunities.

The chalet is located between Voorthuizen, Garderen and Stroe. It is a great place especially for those seeking peace and quiet. At the main entrance, everything is more vibrant, with for example the play areas, swimming pools, bowling alleys, snack bar, restaurant, etc. For walkers and cyclists, it is a nice central starting point, towards Apeldoorn through the woods and over the heath or towards Amersfoort along the many meadows. Nijkerk, Putten and Barneveld are also easy to cycle to. There are also museums in the vicinity.

Almost immediately from the very beginning of the Sophia Hoeve, we were already proud owners of a holiday bungalow on this park part of Recreation Estate De IJsvogel. This cottage has been rented out for many years. It is always great to hear that the tenants think this is such a great place. The swimming pool is also an attraction. See you later?
