The house has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, sitting room and a large walled garden, suitable for groups of up to 10 people.
Lochem is located in the triangle Deventer (25 minutes), Hengelo (25 minutes) and Zutphen (20 minutes) on the border of the Achterhoek and Twente. Easily accessible by train, Lochem station is a 10-minute walk away. Lochem is only 10 minutes from the A1 by car. (NB: Some navigation systems will send you to a place where you cannot enter the estate. It is better to enter Laan Ampsen 17 first and then follow the small asphalt road to the castle).
The house is located on the forecourt of Kasteel Ampsen on the estate of the same name, a beautiful nature reserve of 680 ha. The city of Lochem is 5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bike and 15 minutes on foot. From the forecourt of the Castle you walk directly into the forest.
The house is the former Ezelstal and Tuinmanswoning. Immediately upon entering through the green gate you can still see the original feeding troughs and stable layout. The original details have also been preserved in the house, such as the beamed ceiling in the kitchen is low (200 cm) and some doors are narrow.
In the stable a sturdy staircase has been made to the attic where there are 2 spacious bedrooms that together share 1 bathroom with sink and bath and 1 separate toilet. The 2 bedrooms each have 2 beds. Immediately to the left on the ground floor is a spacious bedroom with 2 beds, this room has a private shower with sink and shares the separate toilet with the common areas on the ground floor.
The cozy kitchen is well equipped with all the usual necessities and has an induction stove, fridge/freezer and a Nespresso machine for coffee cups. The dining room is off the kitchen and overlooks the garden. There is a large dining table for 10 people.
The cozy red upstairs room/sitting room can be reached via a staircase from the dining room. In this room is a staircase to an attic with 2 small bedrooms with 2 beds each and a small bathroom with sink, toilet and bath.
A washing machine and dryer are available. There is also a television and WiFi. Pets are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a leash in the woods.
