Before you arrive you will see the wooden facade of this special house reaching out above the trees. Once on location you will experience the space and the forest in which the house (fully timber frame construction) is completely absorbed. Due to the setting of windows and glass doors, you will meet the forest, the birds and the squirrels almost everywhere in the house. This effect is enhanced by the vapour-permeable construction.

This lovely house is located in the beautiful surroundings of Lochem on a large plot (more than 1500 m2) with plenty of room for outdoor games. There are several terraces and seating areas, so there is always a choice of sun or shade. Due to the good insulation and stone floor, it is nice and cool inside the house in the summer. The living room with open kitchen is attractively furnished with a high ceiling rising from 3 to 4 meters and has patio doors to one of the terraces.

The open kitchen is equipped with two counters, an oven, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer. The spacious four-surface induction stove is adjacent to the bar, which is cozy while cooking. There is a Nespresso coffee machine. The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower and bath. There is a separate toilet. Wifi is available. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed and upstairs a bedroom with two single beds that can easily be converted into a double bed.

The house is located in a small private forest park with an abundance of trees. Sounds here come from birds and the wind singing through the leaves. Squirrels come and go.

A challenging mountain bike trail is within walking distance as well as many hiking and cycling opportunities. There is an 18 hole golf course at 3 km. Lochem is 3 km away. The municipality of Lochem has the highest density of estates in the Netherlands and in 2022 was declared the walking municipality of the Netherlands. Nature is very varied with the scenic landscape, rivers (Berkel and IJssel) and hills (Lochemse Berg and Kale Berg). The Hanseatic cities of Zutphen (15 min drive) and Deventer (30 min drive) are close by as well as 8 castles in the municipality of Vorden (15 min drive). The new MORE museums are in Ruurlo and Gorssel.
