Huisje Weidezicht ● Achterhoek

In the middle of the Achterhoek and on the edge of the quiet and small-scale park "Het Belegh van Groll" is our holiday home "Huisje Weidezicht" for 2 to 6 people.

In our cottage you have the feeling that you are in the middle of nature, and not in a park.
From the living room and terrace, the view is entirely focused on the gently sloping open meadow that is bordered by forest on two sides. The view in the distance is completely unobstructed and with a bit of luck you will see 'our' roe deer family making the crossing at dawn.

Cottage Weidezicht is built in Saxon style and equipped with all modern conveniences. The cottage is heated with heat pumps/air conditioners. Together with the solar panels, this makes the house energy-neutral. Even on a cold winter's day it is pleasantly warm in our cottage. For cosiness and enthusiast there is a wood stove in the house. You can also make a fire and/or BBQ outside. Cleaved wood is widely available and you can use it freely. Of course, you can keep the house nice and cool in the summer with the air conditioning function. The beds are always neatly made and cycling and walking routes are ready for you. Feel at home and enjoy the beautiful Achterhoek!

Layout of the house
On the ground floor is the living room with open kitchen. The French doors give a beautiful view of the orchard and the meadow and forest edge behind. On the ground floor there is also the first double bedroom, the bathroom (with walk-in shower), the toilet and the utility room (with washing machine and dryer). On the upper floor are the other 2 double bedrooms.
The sun terrace is fully south-facing and is equipped with garden furniture (lounge sofa, dining area and sun loungers). The driveway has space for three cars. The holiday home is suitable for 2 to 6 people and is located on a private plot of 600m2.

There is always something to do for young and old. Close by or a little further away
Directly from the cottage you can walk straight into the woods. It is a good starting point for varied hiking and cycling tours. The cottage is located exactly between the hiking nodes V30 and V70. Via the adjacent pedestrian and cyclist park exit, turn right for V30 and left for V70. Cycle junction 33 is also nearby. To do this, turn left at the adjacent park exit onto the Flierdijk. At the first major exit, turn left onto Pastoor Scheepersstraat and then continue to follow it until you reach the railway. This is where junction 33 is located.

Indoor and outdoor playground Megapret is within cycling distance, as is the Farmer's Golf at Weenink Cheese Farm. The open-air museum "Erve Kots" is located at 3 kilometres. Here you can experience the farm life of the past and eat pancakes. Along the way you may just come across a milk tap or a resting point at the farmer with coffee and cake. Ekoboerderij Arink is within walking distance and their organic shop is open on Friday and Saturday afternoons. In the Achterhoek you will now find many country shops where traditional regional products are sold. 

For those who go a little further, the Flamingos at the Zwillbrockervenn (Germany) are a must or the climbing forest in Winterswijk or Ruurlo. Once there, you can go to the largest maze in the Netherlands and to Museum MORE in Ruurlo Castle. Another nice trip is the picturesque Bredevoort with numerous antiquarian bookshops and second-hand bookshops. Zutphen is also not far by car. This Hanseatic city has a visibly rich trading history and is definitely worth a visit. Vorden Castle is also highly recommended. For more see "Location & Tips"

Directions
From the N18 (exit Lievelde) follow the tourist signs '"Belegh van Groll and/or "Onthaasten in de Achterhoek". 
Lievelde has a train station (Lichtenvoorde-Groenlo station) and a bus station. From the train and bus station it is about a 15-minute walk to our holiday home. If desired, we can arrange transport from the station.
