Our holiday home " Huisje Weidezicht " for 2 to 6 people is located in the middle of the Achterhoek and on the edge of the quiet and small-scale park "Het Belegh van Groll".

In our house you have the feeling that you are in the middle of nature, and not in a park.
From the living room and terrace, the view is entirely focused on the gently sloping open meadow, which is bordered on two sides by forest. The view in the distance is completely unobstructed and with a bit of luck you will see 'our' deer family crossing at dawn.

House Weidezicht was built in Saxon style and equipped with all modern conveniences. The house is heated with heat pumps/air conditioners. Together with the solar panels, this makes the house energy neutral . Even on a cold winter day it is pleasantly warm in our house. For fun and enjoyment, there is a wood stove in the house. You can also make a fire and/or have a BBQ outside. Split wood is widely available and you can use it freely. Of course you can keep the house nice and cool in the summer with the air conditioning function. The beds are always neatly made and cycling and walking routes are ready for you. Feel at home and enjoy the beautiful Achterhoek!

House layout
The living room with open kitchen is located on the ground floor. The French doors provide a beautiful view of the orchard and the meadow and forest edge behind it. On the ground floor there is also the first double bedroom, the bathroom (with walk-in shower), the toilet and the utility room (with washing machine and dryer). The other 2 double bedrooms are located on the upper floor.
The sun terrace faces south and is equipped with garden furniture (lounge sofa, dining area and sun loungers). The driveway has room for three cars. The holiday home is suitable for 2 to 6 people and is located on a private plot of 600m2.

Always something to do for young and old. Nearby or a little further away
You can walk directly from the house into the woods. It is a good starting point for varied walking and cycling tours. The house is located exactly between the hiking junctions V30 and V70. Via the adjacent pedestrian and cyclist park exit, turn right for V30 and left for V70. Cycling junction 33 is also nearby. To do this, turn left at the adjacent park exit onto Flierdijk. At the first larger exit, turn left onto Pastoor Scheepersstraat and then continue following it until you reach the railway line. Junction 33 is located here.

The indoor and outdoor playground Megapret is within cycling distance, as is the Boerengolf at Kaasboerderij Weenink. Open-air museum "Erve Kots" is 3 kilometers away. Here you can experience the farm life of the past and eat pancakes. Along the way you may come across a milk tap or a rest stop at the farmer's with coffee and cake. Ekoboerderij Arink is within walking distance and their organic store is open on Friday and Saturday afternoons. In the Achterhoek you will now find many country shops where artisanal regional products are sold.

For those who go a little further, the Flamingos at Zwillbrockervenn (Germany) are recommended or the climbing forest in Winterswijk or Ruurlo. Once there you can go to the largest maze in the Netherlands and to Museum MORE in Ruurlo Castle. Another nice excursion is the picturesque Bredevoort with numerous antique shops and second-hand book shops. Zutphen is also not far by car. This Hanseatic city has a visibly rich trading history and is definitely worth a visit. Vorden Castle is also recommended. For more see “Location & tips”

Directions
From the N18 (exit Lievelde) follow the tourist signs '"Belegh van Groll and/or “Relaxing in the Achterhoek”.
Lievelde has a train station (Lichtenvoorde-Groenlo station) and a bus station. From the train and bus station it is about a 15-minute walk to our holiday home. If desired, we can arrange transportation from the station.
