De Geelgors is a lovely holiday home in Swedish style: ideal for peace seekers, hikers, 'birdwatchers', photographers, or for nature lovers.
Holiday home De Geelgors is located on the outskirts of the small forest park De Vliegden, in Emst on the Veluwe. If you like nature and tranquility, then this cozy and comfortable house is suitable for you.
'De Geelgors' is located near the Gortel heath, in the middle of the Kroondomeinen nature and quiet area. Historic villages and (Hanseatic) cities, such as Hattem, Deventer, Zwolle, Elburg, are close by and worth a visit. There are also many beautiful museums and castles nearby. For a day of wellness you can go to 'De Veluwse Bron'.
The house stands on a plot of more than 1300 m2, on the edge of forest park 'de Vliegden'. You can hear the silence here, smell the forest air and see the stars at night.
To the front of the house is a large south-facing terrace , where you can enjoy the sun. A large parasol is available. On the terrace is a large dining table with fine chairs.
To the rear is a covered porch overlooking the nature reserve and our small pond and wildflower garden. On hot summer days it is nice and cool there.
The forest garden is visited by all kinds of animals: pine marten, fox, badger, roe deer, but also red deer at the back of the field. You can also 'spot' all kinds of birds: bullfinch, hawfinch, keep, pied flycatcher, yellowhammer, tawny owl, sparrowhawk, goshawk, greenfinch, siskin, spotted woodpecker, tawny owl, greater and lesser redpoll ... and also butterflies, wild bees and also the stag beetle !
There are several garden sets and sun chairs around the house.
The house is spacious and fully equipped. There is central heating and a gas stove with logs. All windows and doors are double glazed and on the ground floor also with mosquito nets (Luxaflex). The basement/floor is insulated.
In the living room there is a comfortable sofa (2.5 people), a relaxing armchair, two reading armchairs, side tables and a large round dining table with comfortable dining chairs. In the various cabinets you will find the glass and crockery. There is also a separate bookcase with books and games. In the TV cabinet are boxes with DVDs.
The open kitchen is handy and fully equipped, with a raised and deepened worktop for optimal ease of use. Combi oven/microwave, dishwasher, four-burner gas stove, extractor hood, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle, blender, mixer and all kinds of other kitchen appliances. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery etc.
The stairs in the living room take you to the loft. From the dormer window (3 windows) you have a beautiful view of the field, especially in autumn and winter. There are two comfortable stools with armrests and a book mill with nature books. On the mezzanine is a large cupboard (right) in which you can find the garden cushions.
From the living room you enter a spacious hall from which you can go to the bedroom, toilet and bathroom. Here is also the door to the backyard and the covered porch.
The bedroom has a large double bed (180x200 cm) with two luxury mattresses. There are two bedside tables and reading lamps. The bedroom is bright and has two large windows with mosquito nets, blinds and blackout curtains.
In the hall there is a wardrobe and a cupboard with shelves and drawers. There is enough space under the coat rack to put all (walking) shoes. There is also an umbrella stand.
The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower with thermostatic tap, a bathroom cabinet with two large drawers, a mirror cabinet and two sockets. The radiator, underfloor heating and bathroom fan provide a comfortable space.
The separate toilet room has tiled walls, a marmoleum floor, a hanging toilet and a sink with mirror.
There is a spacious parking lot on the plot.
For your safety, there are fire blankets, smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector in the house.
