Wooden forest cottage in the middle of the forest! A place for true nature lovers. There is a shed where you can safely store your bicycle, with power points for an electric bicycle.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 contains 2 single beds and bedroom 2 has a bunk bed. The bathroom has a shower and sink with storage space. There is a separate toilet room, which has been recently renovated. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, combi oven, kettle, filter coffee maker and Nespresso coffee machine and fridge-freezer. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, there is an environmentally friendly service set with every booking, one bath mat and hand and tea towel ready for you. The forest house is located in a small-scale, quiet forest park in Emst. No barrier, reception or entertainment available.

You are in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve: crown estates, Gortelse heath. From the cottage you can walk straight into the woods. Great for lovers of tranquility, hiking and cycling. In this forest area there is a lot of game such as: red deer, wild boar, roe deer, squirrels, birds of prey, etc. Area tips: many walking and cycling routes, veluwse Bron; sauna and wellness resort, the hidden village, Cannenburch Castle, hiking area the Renderklippen, restaurant de Ossenstal; Nice starting point for your walks.

We are, Jaco and Magdalien. Since January 2021 the owners of this nice Boshuisje in the middle of the forest on the Veluwe. In recent years we have done our best to make the Boshuisje even more beautiful and nicer. We will continue to do this.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

If the renter wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the renter must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:
  • cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
  • Cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 10% of the rental price
  • Cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
  • cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 80% of the rental price
If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, he will continue to owe the full rent.

The house is located in Emst, in the middle of the forest in the Veluwe. On a small-scale nature park, without facilities. From the cottage you can walk straight into the forest. A beautiful area for walking and cycling. A nice place to enjoy nature alone or together and completely unwind.

From the veranda you can look straight into the forest. Enjoy all the birds and bird sounds and if you are lucky you will also spot a rabbit, squirrel or deer.

In the garden there is a walnut tree and various hazel bushes. In autumn, you can regularly spot squirrels that are busy building up their winter supply.
For the children there is a nature box in the barn. With different assignments, discovering the area is even more fun.

The natural beauty of the Achterhoek has a lot of diversity and invites you to a relaxing day out or an adventurous voyage of discovery.
Lievelde is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Achterhoek. Surrounded by the green tranquility of vast forests and meadows and historic towns. Starting point for various cycling and walking routes.
Rain or shine, always fun! Megapret is an outdoor and indoor playground where there is plenty to do for young and old. There is an indoor playground of 1500 m2, and an outdoor playground with traffic square, water playground and an 18-hole adventure golf course of 20,000 m2.
The holiday home has a high chair, cot and stair gate.
In the adjacent forest area de Schans, there is a large fishing pond and there are various walking, cycling and mountain biking routes. Here you will also find the English Schans, a historic place. It played a major role in the Battle of Grolle in 1627.
In our house there is a map with many walking routes in the area.
Almost nowhere else in the Netherlands is the variety of the landscape so varied; Forests, meadows, flower verges, streams, hedges, farms and castles form a beautiful bocage landscape.
Enjoy one of the many regional products or a beer or wine brewed in the Achterhoek. The Achterhoek has a lot to offer. Both in Lichtenvoorde and Groenlo there is a cozy square on the market with restaurants and cafes and many terraces.
The Vragenderveen and Korenburgerveen and are part of a unique piece of raised bog with a rich flora and fauna is definitely worth a visit. There are various walking and cycling routes around the peat area and there is a watchtower where you have a beautiful view of the area.
Do you like peace and quiet, walking, cycling, photography, or horseback riding? In the Achterhoek you will find an enormous amount of special forests, fens, heaths and waters. There is plenty to discover. Put on your walking shoes and discover the nature reserves of the Achterhoek.
During a walk in the Zwillbrocker Venn nature reserve, just across the German border near Groenlo, you can watch flamingos. A special bird area and definitely worth a visit.

When you see this sign, you know you're there. This cottage has the predicate nature house. The light in a quiet area adjacent to the Crown Domains.
This is the seating area opposite the patio doors that open onto the porch. Great place to relax in inclement weather.

This stove is easy to light and gives just that little bit of extra atmosphere to a long evening. Wood can be ordered you will then get matching kindling and split logs for 2 to 4 evenings incl. firelighters.
