Koetshuis `t Geyn - Landgoed Noordenhoek

This romantic, almost entirely wooden coach house is located on the Noordenhoek Estate. 2 to 4 people can stay here.
It has just been completely restyled and insulated. Peace and quiet in the beautiful rural Betuwe! The Coach House is located near the river Linge and is surrounded by fruit trees, in the middle of the Betuwe cycling and walking area. Guests experience this place as an oasis of beauty and tranquility.

The large sitting room, the double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and the double bedroom at the rear of the house are located on the 1st floor, which is accessible via a staircase. In the bathroom, which is accessible from two sides (and can also be locked), organic products from the family business Botanical Beauty are available. In the sitting room there is a large writing table at the window.

The Coach House has a private terrace (with 4 sun loungers) in the orchard with a great view over the countryside, where sheep often walk. The fruit trees offer plenty of privacy. The Coach House has a fixed internet connection (no WiFI but cables available). The Koetshuis has a fully equipped kitchen with, among other things, coffee machine, blender and Nutri-bullet. The tap water has been filtered. Also dive into the beautiful books that you can find in the Coach House!

The Coach House is run as sustainably as possible. This is reflected in the use of green electricity, separated waste, eco cleaning products, soap, detergent, oil vinegar and recycled and sustainable materials. We also try to use as little plastic as possible. You won't notice it in the comfort! :)

The garden is beautiful with lots of beautiful places to quietly read, lounge or dine. You are in the middle of nature with the occasional deer in the garden, but also hares, rabbits, birds and squirrels.

The estate is also home to the host's company (Catharine). It is an organic skin care brand with its own herb garden: Botanical Beauty. Be welcome to take a look or book a workshop!

You are very welcome at this beautiful dream place, which we would like to share with you!

Additional information

A few hundred meters from the Noordenhoek house is the restored house “'t Geyn” with the romantically rebuilt “Koetshuis 't Geyn” next to it. Around 1850, this late medieval former farm still consisted of a large front house with adjoining flood shed on a mound, two haystacks and a coach house. Most of these buildings were demolished in 1890. The coach house, largely rebuilt in wood, with its own terrace in the orchard, offers a great view over the lands of the Noordenhoek and the " Waardsche Blok ", from the seclusion of fruit trees around the yard. On the horizon and from the bedroom at the rear, you have a beautiful view of the estate forests of the Mariënwaerdt estate. The coach house in the yard of "'t Geyn" offers plenty of space for 2 to 4 people. All luxury is present. Downstairs there is a fully equipped botanical-looking kitchen with large dining tables and partly covered terrace between the fruit trees on the south. The kitchen has wide doors to the east-facing terrace. Beautiful English crockery invites you to endlessly drink "high tea" with a beautiful book, or during a good conversation. Delicious home made cakes can also be ordered in the village with your reservation. On request, the bread maker can be turned on for you in the evening, so that you can enjoy freshly baked bread with your breakfast. Upstairs in the coach house (via a steep staircase) you will find a beautiful and quiet double bedroom, where you can relax from your daily activities. In addition, there is a large sitting room with beautiful rural views. This beautifully renovated room has a cozy sitting area, a beautiful large table and thick velvet curtains. The new Italian bathroom, accessible from both sides, has a shower and bathtub.
Estate North Corner is located in a meander of the river Linge, north of Deil. Then from 1200 the Ling Dikes were built, the landscape here Betuwse plenty ontwikkeld.Het Deil village grew out of a settlement in the Bronze Age, on the southern levee of the Linge. The Reformed Church has a tower of Roman origin. In ancient times the village has seven castles or fortified houses known. What are these houses still remember is the (partially damped) Bulcke Steyn canal and the canal with gate of Palmesteyn. The latter is so far known castle first mentioned in 1495, but archaeological finds (such as a globular) go back to the 12th century. It is in 1833 the couple bought afgebroken. In 1668 Van Ham-van der Woude Palmesteyn the castle with the house located north of the North Angle and the farm 'Geyn west of it. By the marriage of heiresses of this couple inherited the northern corner of the Van Everdingen, and the castle Palmesteyn with 't Geyn to the family Verstegen. After demolition of the castle and partial demolition of the farmhouse with coach 't Geyn, they could land in the 19th century again united with the North Corner North Corner may find the old house is demolished and rebuilt in Neo-Renaissance style in 1898. The house overlooks the site of Palmesteyn and Linge. The whole area around the house is in past centuries on flood free and informed is part of the Appeldijk along the Linge. The area of ??North Estate Corner traditionally covers approximately 60 hectares.
The Noordenhoek Estate has a package for its guests with two special restaurants nearby. Noordenhoek Estate borders the large Marienwaerdt Estate with a pancake house, estate shop and various activities and options. Upon arrival you will find an information folder with all kinds of activities that you can do in the region and walking and cycling maps, including Landgoed Noordenhoek.
The variety of flora and fauna along the banks and in the floodplains is unique. Nature and culture go hand in hand in this part of the Rivierenland. This is partly due to the inspiring presence of the more than 900 ha neighboring estate Mariënwaerdt on the other side of the Linge. That estate can be visited via the foot ferry in Enspijk, including an estate shop, pancake house, horse riding opportunities and canoe rental. In this part of the Linge area you can enjoy peace, space and natural beauty. During the blossom season, but certainly also in other seasons; Walking or cycling over the dikes of the estates and through the ribbon of dike villages in the wider area.
Pay a visit to the imposing Fort Asperen, the fort can also be reached by bike along a beautiful Linge route.Upon arrival you can rest and enjoy a nice cup of coffee with homemade apple pie or you can enjoy a delicious tapas dish in the adjacent Taveerne.Short impression of the fort:"The fort was directly surrounded by a moat and was only accessible via a wooden drawbridge. The heavy tower is founded with about 1260 piles and built of small Waal stones and has outer walls of one and a half meters thick. The building consists of three floors. In addition to the ground floor with rifle embrasures, there is a basement, a first floor with cannon and rifle embrasures and on top an earthen upper battery. The layout of the floors is, as it were, a circular shape with three "shells". The core of the fort consists of a cylindrical light and air shaft, which runs through all three floors, with a diameter of five meters. Around it is the ring-shaped room, this is a circular corridor. The outer circle shell consists of twelve sector-shaped rooms on all floors that open onto the circular corridor.
